DC Price Reqest Thread
rgorzkajr replied to CJ18's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
12" level 2 d4. thanks -
if i was starting over again i would buy something super cheap and ride it for a year. then go out and get something nice. i learned on my brothers 650 shadow. two years later i got a suzuki sv1000s. wheelie machine. as far as the lic. goes in ny you get a permit first. you can ride on a permit as long as there is someone else riding next to you that has a lic. that doesnt mean ride up to strangers. pick a friend and practice. gl

np thanks for the help. sealed it is. just got to order the sub. get the amp kit. gonna go with knu 4 gauge. gonna sound good
-
you got me confused your first post said ported and your second said sealed. i think you ment sealed the first time.
-
i could build a sealed box easy enough but i have no experiance with ported box's at all. wouldnt know where to begin.

ups will be here thursday with a kicker zx08700.5 amp. it will put out 420 watts at 2 ohms on the mono channel. i am going to order a level 2 15" for it. my problem is i want it loud but acurate. ported or sealed. what do you think? going in a trailblazer so space is a non issue. the other four channels are running two sets of polk db6501's in the doors. all controlled with an eclipse cd5030. i was thinking about the level 3 but i dont want to under power it.

Let's talk Air compressors/air tools
rgorzkajr replied to n8ball2013's topic in TOOLS and TESTING Devices
all three of these compressors say that they are twin cylinder " double lung". this is the biggest factor in air compressors. the more pistons compressing air at the same time the better. the only real differance is the tank capacity. the bigger the better. -
sorry for the noob question. but i want to build a box for a level 2 15" this calc. looks very easy to use. but i am unsure where the woofer and the port placement should be. looking for woofer up port back. can you do that with a slot port or does that mess things up. this will be my 1st attempt at a box. any pointers would be helpfull. also some insite on tuning would be good. thanks again.

No group riding. hardly get out of the garage these days. kids have a habit of putting the toys on hold -
looking to purchase one in the near future. going to be powering it from the sub channel of a kicker 08zx700.5 420watts rms at 2 ohms. dc's site rates the level 2 at 300 watts rms. is this amp over kill for this sub?

i have two sets of the db6501's and they sound really good. these are the lower grad of polks. i can only guess what the mm or the rs series sounds like. i got mine for $99. a set on amazon
