  1. A good friend of mine bought a 2006 dodge RAM 1500 single cab truck and he already has a dc audio xl 15 subwoofer. So we wanted to figure out a way to put the xl in the cab without seriously modifying the truck. So I started drawing up some plans with the seats all the way back...but that left me with 59.5w by 24 tall by 1.5d1 and 7d2, so that didn't give me any airspace at all lol. We also wanted to keep the center console seat, so if I slide the driver and passenger Seats up to the same position as the fixed middle seat is, that gave me max dimensions of 59.5w by 24h by 8.25d1 and 13.25d2. That also allowed room cor a very comfortable seating position for all 3 seats with plenty of leg room even for taller people. So we started the box build. So, this is the box test fit in the truck. You can see a column in the box where I built around the center seat belt so we could continue to be able to use it. This is to check Clarence with the center seat flipped up. More pics are uploading now! Thanks for looking!
  2. well my problem is not only the airspace, but figuring out a good place for the port
  3. Well its a RAM 1500 and it will be something crazy custom. Lots of fiberglass and maybe sacrificing some space behind the passenger seat for more airspace
  4. my friend has a single cab truck and a xl 15 that was in his car. i want to install it in his truck and make a fiberglass enclosure but dont think ill have the space to do it ported. is sealed even an option with this sub?
  5. def 0 gauge for the 2200! that amp is a beast! everything else seems to be dead on! post some pics!
  6. I think owners1 has a 6th order bandpass iirc. but he switched to the crossfires for 4" coil and better suited softparts. Edit: and the xls are awesome!
  7. yes, they are under the front seats just some 4 inch speakers that are high passed in the rear deck. thanks ray, happen to know what colors i should tag off when i pull the radio??
  8. ok so ive done a ton of research and found out where the ignition wire is... picture of ignition wire but i still need to figure out proper sub signal if anyone could help me out! OH, and it does have the logic 7 system if that makes a difference
  9. My good friend just bought a 2005 bmw 545i. we are trying to install his 3 12s and amp. power and ground connections were very simple with the battery in the trunk, but getting signal and ignition seems to be a problem. id like to keep all the wires in the trunk. i know the factory amp is on the drivers side in the trunk and have found a thread that lists what wires left and right are. but it seems like the signal fades in and out. so my question is, does anyone know what are the correct wires to get a sub signal from? and is there ignition in the trunk? and if so where? i have tried tagging signal with a loc from the 4" speaker in the rear deck only to find out that that channel is high passed and has little to no low freq passing through that channel. any suggestions or PICTURES would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brandon
