I recommended him 2 6" aeros on another topic, i´ve gotten very nice results with that port area on a pair of DD 3512´s , about smaller box , i haven´t try anything smaller than 2.2 c/f per sub so i can´t give that input, but korey seems to know a lot what´s he´s doing

subs up/port forward? i think that´s the worst you can do, i´ve never heard a car been loud with that but it´s just me! On a mini wall i would definitly build everything forward, but seen your sign, you have a Sierra and this box is for that i´m assuming, i would do subs forward/port up if you can fit them

You haven´t said what car is it, you said at the beggining you wanted sub/port up and those were the measures i suggested you to use, so , what car is it?

Here´s an example of what i could do with 3 10´s in my swift, on this vid i had 3 7500´s and a mtx 1500.1 amplifier, don´t pay attention to the C6 amplifier i said because it broke down and MTX borrowed me their amplifier, that thing was loud as hell believe it or not, and yes, i tried the jackhammers on that same box http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bis9aOY87z0

It is definitively louder then before. I went through and rounded the inside and outside of the port on Friday night which made a difference to the ear. I probably going to round the top edges too at a later time. I went with painting the box this time instead of carpet so I saved myself from losing some db's there Made difference to the ear? damn that´s nice, that´s one of the things coming soon on my "SPL gains" topic, so i could give you a better input about how much exactly it raised your score since you don´t have a TL to test this things before/after. Also, definitly round over the external edges of the box. About the carpet, yeah man ditch that shit, paint works awesome!!!

I would try to go with at least 2 aeros 6" , something like 20" long each one, that would give you around 5.4 c/f and 33 hz tuning, biggest problem is that aeros come at maximun 17" long iirc, you could go with PVC tubes and flare them tho...

I´ve worked a few times with those subs and the 7500´s and they are very nice for the price, this isn´t a shitty system for someone starting if you ask me. About the box, i would definitly use a slot port, i would build something like this: Box: 15" h x 31" w x 25" d Port: 29.5" x 2" x 21" D That would give you around 4.5 c/f box after displacement and 59SQ of port with a 38 hz tuning, i wouldn´t tune those subs lower than that because of the FS of the subs, but you never know, the time i used the 7500´s they could play lows very nice even with a stupid high FS. I didn´t put too much thinking on this box since you didn´t said the kind of music you like, your goals and car, but that should work on any daily application

Subs over here cost a lot, even some cvr´s , i prefer to break in them, i just use a 25 hz tone at low volume for about 20 minutes and i´m good to go
