  1. 22 hz tuning??? damn!! i bet it sounded like crap over 40 hz hehe, just a moving hair box right?
  2. Also, can use them as mutiple ports for your 12´s hehe
  3. Ah yes, the mighty speed limit, biggest difference i did, on a lonely road coming from a town here, the speed limit is 40 MPH, i hit 130 mph there hahaha, so, 90 mph over the limit, that´s my record, as i said before, not proud of those things but i couldn´t past that oportunity
  4. What about pounding the system all daly long??? yes, i do illegal things daily hehe
  5. Well, i live in Panama and i´m Venezuelan, Panama and Venezuela has laws but we don´care about them!! I´m not proud of this, but i think i break about 25 or 30 laws a day!! The speed limit on the freeway it´s around 60 MPH and i drove around 100 MPH all the way hehe
  6. Yes, this was the first video i saw from you Steve, actually, i think that when you searched youtube for your name that was the first video on the list, maybe that´s why there´s so many views on it, i prefer the popped eye video
  7. Damn, Fritos that shit looks tight!!! Well, mine are also under the car, i didn´t use any pvc and didn´t secure them properly and one hit a mechanical hot part and started sparks everywhere hahaha, i fixed that of course, PVC and properly secure like Fritos did it´s the best way IMO. About the runs of grounds, i have 2 runs of + and 2 of - because i wanted to eliminate any resistence because i compete on DB Drag, but if you are not competing who cares? make 2 runs of + and ground the batts on the back and that´s it i guess...
  8. Well, i got a quote from a guy on Europe, and damn, that shit was expensive as hell!!! I´m about to buy a SD but i always look at any option, PM me prices for the Barvarian and the warlord amplifiers, i´m in Southamerica also, thanks....
  9. Doesn´t sorprise me he let her go hehe, i had a very HOT girlfriend, and damn, always looking my phone, my computer, fighting for everything, even fighting about me buying my DD´s with my own money because!!! I prefer a not that hot but cool girl than a hot one bitching for everything!! By the way, shanna corrina it´s hot!!! haha
  10. Exactly! I hit 147 with a low tuning and did hairtricks, the explorer it´s over 150 and can´t move even a toilet paper haha
  11. Yes it´s difficult, but you don´t need a 150 to get a hairtrick, my swift did 147.1 on the TL sealed on the dash and it did big hairtricks, i don´t have a video But, it stills move a lot of air with a 2K amp hitting barely a 145.5 on the TL and 3 10" subs, so i would say, depends on the tuning and box size really, on the other hand, the sexplorer it´s hitting around 151 on the TL with a 42 hz tuning and doesn´t move any hair hahaha
  12. What subs?? what amount of power?? if you did that port, i guess you want to hit the lows because it´s a big box and very low tuning. if the box it´s 47" wide, you have a lot of space to work with, leave the 5" high and get 13" wide, 24" depth (L port) would give you around 36 hz and 2.2 cubic feet for each sub, that would be a very simple but nice box, unless you are using some monsters 12" subs or very tiny power, but once again, i don´t know what subs and power you use...
  13. Just an hour away and you haven´t got a demo from meade´s rides?? i would be at his house right now
  14. ahaha damn!! yeah sure, catholic church deserves the money:orly3: what a bitch!!!
  15. Hey dude, yeah i saw that video a long time ago, that´s why i asked that, he started to make room way before he got the Tahoe to the paint job and i thought he was gonna finish the civic while the Tahoe was in the paint shop...
  16. I said that in a sarchastic way dude hehe, generally speaking it´s 12-16SQ per cubic feet, less than that and you´ll have some por noise, but there´s people like Meade that use less than that and are happy with the result, so defenitly this is not a rule...
  17. hahaha yeah, there´s a new rule, 24-40 SQ of port per cubic feet, if you don´t get that, you suck!!
  18. Also, try to get it strong power, 5.7 c/f is very small, with that size, you need more power than a big box, just in case you didn´t know that. Glad i could help, make sure to post some pics
  19. Yes, i think that would work just fine, to be precised, 5.7 cubic feet and 13.2SQ of port per c/f , you would have 39 hz of tuning, big problem is that you haven´t got any bracing inside the box, that would also shrink down the internal space raising your tuning also, try at least to get double baffle!
  20. hehe well said, thinking now, i guess you must be right! if he´s looking for 45 hz tuning and 5.5 c/f feet that doesn´t sound like a daily box at all, touche! hehe, cheers...
  21. Dude, not always you have to go with the manual, depends on the kind of music you like, DD recommends 35 hz tuning and i tuned to 41 hz so i didn´t lose the highs, more than happy with the result!! Just because Fi says tune to 32 hz doesn´t mean everybody listens just that kind of music, besides that, if he get the port that big (talking about the length), he is shrinking the box, would give him around 11.5SQ of port per cubic feet, maybe the 12SQ of port, but i prefer a little bit high on the tuning and some more output with 13.5SQ of port per cubic feet, but that´s just me of course. Said all that, it depends on his music likes of course, not ours, i can asure you that my next box for 2 18" it´s gonna be tune around 32 hz just like you told him
  22. How come the ports it´s too small?? it´s 100SQ, i think this box it´s ok, but the tuning it´s way too high, if i´m correct, you are getting 45 hz tuning on that box with 18SQof port per cubic feet, 5.5 c/f after displacement. If you are looking for a lower tuning, then you don´t need a port that big, unless BTL really likes giant ports (haven´t use one before) , i would get a port 5x15x17 giving me 39 hz of tuning, 13.5 SQ of port per cubic feet and 5.8 c/f after displacement...
  23. Nice to know that, thanks a lot dude...
