Because this is another car, the guy with the 3512´s it´s more than happy now, he´s not in comps or anything, i was thinking about a 4th order for these 512´s, but maybe they could suck in that kind of box, better use a ported one?or should i give it a try?

Damn, that thing it´s pounding!! I love sealed boxes, they sound very nice and still loud, but as Lem said, get that thing ported and should slam even harder!

Scott Owen hit 180.4 dbs , Iasca World record at the time, Craig Butler broke it with 181.7. On DB Drag, Alan Dante hit 180.9 if i remember correct with only a single DD Z18 in Ext 1, now he has 2 Z18 on ext 2 hitting 181.x Also, team Shocker hit a 181.4 on ext5 hehe, who´ll be the first to hit a 185 dbs??

Maybe a 3518 with about 3K so you can get around 2K after impedance rise and voltage drops, hose 3518´s pound hard and sound very nice Drive save...

Well, i´m not chargin or anything, i´m working right now and don´t have any time to get a sketch, if you want to use the measures that´s ok, but as i said before, it´s a regular ported box with he same sizes you said, just get the subs and port in the same direction thru the cabin and that´s it.

I haven´t mentioned other DD subs because they still expensive, i have 3 1510´s hitting 145 dbs right now with an hifonics 2500D and a single battery @ 41 hz , i love my subs, but i have heard the 1508´s and don´t ask me why, but the 1508 pounds harder than the 1510 haha. Little mean machines!!

What do you mean with show you? you have the specs, it would just be subs and port front with the measures i posted before, there´s nothing to think Once again, i can´t asure you this box would make hair tricks, score 165 dbs and stuff like that, it´s an easy simple box that should slam very nice...

Exactly, you can´t compare 60$ subs to that monster! Maybe try a BTL like 007´s saying, DC Audio, there are a lot of brands that can take lots of power and sound very nice

My best friend is using two hifonicw 2610D strapped to a pair of BL´s 15" , we clamped 3800 watts and they handle the power just great, we actually did 70 demos in one night and they behaved great, i guess the BL 18" can handle more than 2K without a problem.

Port of 16.25" x 6" x 22" would give you same tuning and about 7.6 c/f after displacement, i would say the respond is very similar, but L7´s really like big boxes, well, at least the one´s that i´ve tried, for less power and looking to hit the lows, i would go with the bigger box with smaller port over the other one, but that´s just me...

By the way, i can shrink the port size a little bit to gain some internal space and still don´t lose output, maybe getting 7.6 c/f and about 14SQ of port per cubic feet.

For a kicker L7 i would get 4 cubic feet per sub so you can get the lows damn hard!! With the amount of space you got there, only way to get 4 cubic feet per sub it´s with a very small port, said that, i would then use 3.5 c/f per sub with a very nice port and tune to your 34 hz. This box would give you 7.2 cubic feet after displacement, 16SQ of port per cubic feet and 35 hz tuning. 3/4" wood and get a nice double baffle on the front if you can 17.75 x 58 x 18.75 (same measures you gave) Port: 16.25" x 7" x 25" depth Resin, nice bracing and some 45´s if you can Still, small box so maybe you need a little bit of power. I can´t say that this is the best box ever because i don´t even work as a car audio installer, professional box designer or anything, but thank god every box i have designed in the past has worked

Big problem i see would be getting to 34 hz tuning with a good SQ of port, no way you can get a little bit bigger?? maybe a couple of inches more on depth.

Why a 9518 with only 2500 watts before impedance rise and voltage drops? i think i would be a waste of money unless you get a bigger amp, for that amount of power, i would use a 3518, but with a 16.5" height box yoou would have to get some angle for the box front face, instead of that, i would get a pair of DD 2512´s or 3512´s

In my hatchback (suzuki swift 2009? i tried EVERYTHING!!!! If the box it´s in the back, sub up/port up and sub up/port side were the best, if i get the box on the back seat area, subs front/port back for SPL numbers but for ground pounding it sounded AWESOME subs up/port back.

Oh, now we arre talking, i tought it drops to 12.1v at 2K rpm, 13.8v it´s not even a drop IMO, i think it´s more than ok, but if you want those 13.8v at idle then yes, change the alt.
