probly a dumb question but if i have my "remote gain control" plugged in. if i put it on max. is that full gain on the amp or does it max out at the setting i have it on the amp.

I have 2 level 2 8's and 1 justquit onme and the other is messing up. The coilslook fine but itgives me wierd ohm readings.. Like 20 ohm and 1 mega ohm or even overload. And when i touch both posts when its playing it feels like one of those shock lighters. Could this be the leads?
