This will be my first comp and I'm planning on running in my 2001 Ford Zx2 1 RE XXX 18 in a 7.5cuft box tuned to 37hz ran by a diamond amp(not sure the model, the guy i got it from took off the cover for a comp, it pushes 1800wrms at 4oh), MB Quart and Alpine mids off a Alpine V12 4 chan, a Iraggi 200 amp ho/alt, 1/0 power and wire, 8 gauge speaker wire, total of 3 or 4 yellow tops. my hu will be a Alpine CDA 9886. and alot of dynamat. Any thoughts on how this will do?

  8. my friends car has 5 sirens in it, one in the hood and 4 inside the car. their set for time limits, the first goes off, a minute later a another goes off, a minute after that the rest go off. it is extremely loud.
  9. amps get warm when they are pounding subs, make sure its located in a well ventilated area, if the amp is getting really hot you can add a fan next to it.
  10. i got mine from carhidkits.com, very happy with them, i have 9007 bulbs so the have dual filaments in them. they offer an hid bulb as your low beam with a standard halogen bulb for 79.99 or their bi-xenon is like 200. very good customer service.
  11. i learned from hands on and my friend whos been doing in for years and has worked at shops with people who have gone to school and has a friend who is ranked #2 in the country for building sound cars.
  12. i got my soldering iron at my local fred meyers, its a cheap one but it gets the job done, but with an amp kit you dont have to solder anything besides the remote wire. either get some heat shrink tubing or 3m electrical tape
