  1. You'll have to bend the port to make the length you need like an L. If you make a thiner port you can shorten the length of it. You also need to make sure that port wall keeps the same width all the way.
  2. The 1.5 would be good for the 12". Hitting the deep lows is mostly tuning.
  3. I second that, the best way of finding out is to try it.
  4. I love AR15s, just don't let it dry out they love being all oiled up! I have seen two that got dried out and had a live round caught above to bolt. Not fun to remove! I've used a S&W and an old military issue colt. I loved them both, they shoot straight don't kick but their loud as hell. It will fire both .223 and 5.56.
  5. I have a yellow up front and two XS 975s in the back and it works fine. I charge about once a week and disconnect the front from the back while charging. I have had this set up for about a year and they all still hold a charge.
  6. I put around the same wattage to my XL and it's still really stiff. Did anything push on the cone? I'm going to agree with everyone else it looks like a spider issue.
  7. Maybe it was user error on my part, wouldn't be the first time won't be the last. Just sharing my expirience
  8. they are pretty much used as an easy port, like if you don't know what port to use or what size you need. You make an enclosure to hold 2 what ever size subs you want, put the sub in one whole and use the radiator to cover the other whole. So it kind of works like two subs but really is only one. They might work well in a low power system say maybe up to 500 watts. I also thought it was worth a shot, then the spyders came off my baskets and my coils got damaged. Now I have no subs and can't figure out how people live with out subs for the lows?? The boxes I made where about 1.5 to 2 cubes and I placed the radiator in the rear of the box. It sounded great for a while and increased my spl slightly. There are a bunch of ways to use passive radiators this is just the way I did it so I could keep my spare tire. You might have better luck if you want to try it, but I don't recommend it.
  9. I used passive radiators before and DON'T DO IT the back pressure seperated the spiders from the basket. It did sound good for a little while but not worth loosing subs.
