  1. stock head unit? or aftermarket? what kind? or are they being powered off a amp?
  2. lol didnt you just sell your hc2000 bro?
  3. i would do atleast a 200amp alt. if it were for me i would go ahead and get like a 320amp alt just so its there for future upgrades.
  4. he doesnt have to do 2 seperate grounds. he can ground the amp to the neg on the back batt.
  5. what he said but fuse it lol should look like this (starting at front batt) +--=----=--+ the double lines are the fuses. basically just wire it in parallel. and from the neg on the batt ground that to somewhere in the back. but if you have enough money or wire to do neg to neg go for it. higher volts=more powa and then the pos on your amp to the pos on the back batt and neg to the neg on the back batt too. basically everything parallel (minus the ground if you want too and if you do a run of neg to neg from front to back you dont have to fuse the neg only the pos) hope this helps bro
  6. i tuned my box to 35hz with 2 4" aeros and eh im going back to vented. it sounds LOUD at 35hz but anything below like 32 or higher then like 39 doesnt sound good at all. they have peaky frequencys imo and everyone tells me its not good to bump with my trunk open because the aeros need the trunk to load off of. eh its all in your opinon. if i ever used aeros again it would just be for a burp car.
  7. lol i dont really know about port area or anything like that honostly my buddy designs my boxes lol
  8. do you mean 12's? if so everyones doing 1.5per sub because thats what the dc site says. lol and the displacment for 12's is .13 (iirc)
  9. depends if you do the big 3, lots of runs of 0 guage, how many batts in the back. if your asking if you can do that on STOCK elc? then ehh..
  10. i know man. when i was looking into em like online all the vids on youtube made em seem quiet.. i guess you really dont know until you do hear em in person! lol they surprised me! bump to show how nasty the lvl 3's get! and they would be way louder if i could port my rear deck or allow some sort of air flow into the cabin. its all sealed in the trunk..
  11. LOL those are my brothers i knew someone was gonna say something. its 1200rms so thats 600rms a sub perfect. hope i dont lose my steering wheel flex from loss of power
  12. that means alot coming from the guy that owns this awsome company
  13. in what kinda car? when i had the btl in the benz it didnt really flex anything. when i put it in a 02 sebring every thing started flexing like crazy
  14. birthsheet says 1639rms at 1 ohm. i put it couple hundred lower then that to be safe. i think im going to drop i t to 1200 just to be safe. because after for bumping for a while i kinda smell vc in the port..
  15. i know man. they are built so sturdy. i was impressed by the sunroof and partial roof flex since this car is built so "strong" i wish my back seats could drop down. im gonna have tl numbers soon too.
  16. that happens to me sometimes too. it happens when i leave my browser on for a long time on youtube. all i gotta do is restart my browser (firefox) and it goes away
  17. for photobucket pics to upload em for me all i do is copy the link under my pic in photobucket and paste it in here i dont have to push enter media or anything
  18. if theres any other vids on people getting steering wheel flex with 2 12's on 1400rms in a trunk car with the back seats up please post vids cuz i havent seen anyy other ones lol
  19. and dont watch the vid on here. the screens so small you cant even see the flex. click it to go the youtube.com to see it much better. its a short vid. he didnt really pick up most of the interior flex (visors, door panels etc) the back seats are really killing me. i wish i could take em out but i need them. going to get new box soon. when i mounted the subs the gaskets were touching (tight fit) and they were leaking lots. so i had to take the gaskets off and mount em like that. but they still leak ALOT. i know thats killing my db's.
  20. these are 2 12 lvl 3's. on a t1000 with gain set for 1400rms at 1ohm. car is a 04 benz c230k. 4 door with trunk. back seats dont drop down so the steering wheel and roof/sunroof flex is pretty sick considering they built this car bulletproof. as you can see there is little rattle to show how well they built this car. its 1.6cuft per sub with 2 4" aeros (flared) tuned to 35hz. only elc upgrades i have are 130amp alt (stock) big 3 in 4 gauge (stock) 4 gauge run to the back. hc800. and 0 gauge from the back batt to the amp. this is tylertrons vid. i cant take vids cuz my cam is pretty shitty. he didnt get much footage but you get the point! DC FTMFW http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5vP1GRLzzs&playnext_from=TL&videos=HqV4u83GhT4&feature=sub and heres a pic of the subs and box
  21. yes. your basically taking away the dis. of the subs. so if you can get the cuft of your box before dis. and that is how many cuft you would have. more air space is lower tuning. and yeah they would run cooler.
  22. but always remember 90% install 10% equipment..
  23. and get lvl 4 coils and add a extra spider
  24. really that would work? i would prefer to do that to avoid past problems i have had... check my latest thread LOL
