  1. ill get a vid tomorrow of them screaming for you guys.
  2. thats funny. i went into my shop just for the hell of it, and he tried to sell me 2 500w memphis amps, and 2 1 farad caps for 1 grand. No box/subs/labor yet. I was like ok, cool (just playing around) then he looked at my tweeters and was like "why you down firing" and i was like, umm its firing at my face once i sit down... and he was like oh ok.. Then i asked him if he knew about dc audio, and he was like yeah, the 2 seconds later after he saw the sticker in my window he was like whos dc? LOL then i asked if he knew about brands like sundown, aq, dd, etc and he said yeah, competion shit, and they really arent that good. he had a ton of trophys inside with like "168.2db" and what not and i asked what meter he was using and he said idk. lol? here's the best part, he said my 4 10's wont play good at 32 hz, and i should try to tune at 55. he also said my 10's are too small and wont play that low. I was just like yeah youre probably right. I plan on going back up there once im finished and showin his ass up.
  3. lets bump this. few of you may have saw my thread about a popping sound, and it was due to a ground and too low fo an impedace on the HU. I hooked these up to my home theater receiver and nearly bled out of the ears from loudness lol. But yeah, back up for sale. same price, will split 6x9s 100 shipped 5 1/4 40 shipped. OBO
  4. you can usually find an envelope for free. at most it'll cost you a buck but yes, you will have to pay for one if you don't have one.
  5. because shipping items isnt free wish it was. All it does is prints your label so all you do is drop it off and youre done. No standing around buying the stamp at the store. Also found out that is usually about 50-60% cheaper too. cost me like 47$ to ship a 35lb amp at the store, and then went back home and printed the same label for 14$. Cost my 40$ to ship my 90 lb lvl 5 to illinois i think, god knows what at the store.
  6. you usually get everything you need. I'd get the wiring harness just incaae though.
  7. Lol. It still does it rarely now, but it's coming from 1 speaker that also has the lead slapping the cone ever so slightly. Good thing I didnt sell these yea? All these problems came once i hooked em back up.. Like i said too, was tryin to figure it out and the Hu just shut off, blew the fuse under the hood.
  8. Also while tryin to film i blew the fuse up front. I'm guessing that may have contributed with the HU not getting enough power. That fise was really shitty/rusted from something. I checked all the others and they seemed great, but this one was kinda messed up.
  9. fixed i think! redid the g round and it seemed to stop. well see..
  10. not sure how it would be a ground? Would that cause that sort of noise? I can post a video too.
  11. I put my old inflnity kappas back in, and now at like normal listening volume it sounds like someone has wad of bubble wrap in their hands and is crunching it up. wires are tight, any connection was soldered and elec taped. any ideas? :/
  12. most of us do nuts a bolts, some run the wire through the port, but you can drill 2 holes and run em through. Just silicone them when youre done so air doesn't leak.
  13. haha I had a feeling they would come in handy
  14. even if somehow the short wire came undone from the terminal, the chances of it grounding tself are pretty slim.
  15. for the runs that are like a ft long for my battery bank I didn't fuse those. anything over like 3ft , excluding runs from battery to amp I always fuse.
  16. I vote ditch the dekas and run like 2 more 3100s
  17. First go to the enclousures section and download the torres calc, sticky at the top. It'll help you tons. And unless you plan on doing 2 seperate boxes, center ports are always a pita for me haha. You're better off doing a side port, or better yet maybe precision ports.
  18. isnt there a thread like this already...
  19. first strip the carpet out of there. Then where the trunk meets the cabin, I think there should be some bolts that hold on those diagonal pieces so you can remove them, thus making the hole bigger. At least its like that in my car.
