can anyone help?

So I have thisamp and thesecomponents that I'm going to add to my new setup. The problem is ,is that I would also like to use my old components since they still sound good, and work fine I might as well. That amp is rated at 40x4, and both components can take 70x4....so should I just run the front speakers (MB Quarts) at 100x2 and be careful with the gain, and the rear speakers off the HU? CLIFFS: -How will the MB quarts sound off that amp? -Will I blow them if I over power them by ~30 watts? -Should I just run it at 40 watts, under powering them by ~30 watts or will I be disappointed?

Let me know what you have, must take 1000wrms, and work good.

But everywhere online its rated 1000@4 and 1000@2 ??? Am i missing something here?

Meeting up with a dude locally tomorrow to buy a PDX 1000.1 for $200. Good deal or not so good? I've seen them on eBay for like $300 so I thought this was very fair price. Anyways, I have some questions. I've heard many things about this amp, and I'm confused about the power ratings....It really does rated power at both 2 and 4 ohms? It won't play less loud at 4 ohms basically....if thats the case than I should wire my subs up to 4 ohms just to put less strain on my electrical. Also, I've heard these are a PITA to tune....my HU puts out only 2v preouts, so will this amp be hard to tune...should i get a line driver? And finally, what subs should I run on this? I want SPL and decent SQ too.....I was thinking a JL W7 13, but what if thats not loud enough. Maybe 2 DC level 3 12" but won't I be under powering them or are these amps under rated....I'm confused LOL

Well, I've decided due to lack of funds, I am going to build one. My computer is a Dell Dimension 2350, and the hard drive is fryed, so it will be needing a new one.... What parts fit this computer, that will make it really fast?

I heard the Type R's have good SQ and SA12 have good SPL Which pair would you rather have? Does the SA-12 hit the low lows good, and have good SQ? Or is it a SPL sub only? both in ported box around 1200-1500 rms

Is there a really big notice in electrical strain at 1 ohm vs. 2 ohms? Or is it a very small difference? By electrical strain i mean less headlight dimming, ect

it does 1200 at 1 ohm but my car has a weak electrical (stock battery, 80 amp alt) so i cant run it at 1 ohm b/c it puts more strain on the electrical

So is there anything louder/better I can get for the same price or cheaper as the Q? Or is the Q best bang for buck? and 900 rms is that too little for the Q?

what amp should i run on it? would my Elemental designs nine.1 be good to run on it @ 2 ohms (900 rms @ 12.4 volts) or should i get a bigger amp?

Cant afford BTL.... So on 1000 RMS the BL and Q are the same loudness? I think im going with the Q then

Will the Q be loud enough though? Will you still "hear me coming" or will it not be too loud? Whats louder a 15" Q or BL 15"? Or is there not really a difference? And I heard the Q hits the low lows which no setup ive had has been able to do good.

I have a RF T400-4 Power series amp ill sell you. only $100 works perfect 50x4 rms but these amps are underrated as usual with most RF amps

what about the BL? i thought a 15" will have more SPL, according to the chart on the MTX website 1 15" will be louder than 2 12" with the same power on each setup

For my next setup, I have narrowed it down to: - 1 Fi 15" Q D1 wired to 2 ohms on my Elemental Designs nine.1 In a custom 3-3.5 maybe 4 cubic foot box -2 Alpine Type R's wired to 2 ohms on my ED 9.1. Prefab 3.0 cubic box its good though ported 3/4 MDF ect The amp will be changed out soon after i get it setup to a Alpine MRP1000. My main goal is SQL. Whats louder 2 type R's 12" on 1000 rms or 1 15" Fi Q on 1000 RMS and also what puts more strain on my electrical a 2 ohm or 1 ohm sub amp load? or does it not make a difference.
