I was under the impression you were trying to get with her. -

You know what would be hilarious? Her husband finding out about you. That'd make me lol... -
Deadening for Jeep Top??
chud replied to DeepsplJeep's topic in Second Skin Sound Deadening and Automotive Insulation!
I don't think you'll be able to completely eliminate rattlings and/or flexing, but you can curb it dramatically. If it's possible (don't know if the removeable fiberglass roof even has a headliner), think about a layer of damplifier pro coupled with a layer of luxury liner. That should do the trick. Like I said, the headliner, or lack thereof, may become an issue... -
look what ups dropped off @ treo's!

Do they still have house brand subs? -

Yeah, this isn't a fair comparison. -
It's nowhere near as cool as your avatar.
-
nice looking subs.
-
I guarantee there's someone out there in this great land of ours with a 12" sub in the center console of a truck exactly like yours. Remember, think outside the box...
-
Orion hasn't been all that great for many years imo.
-
A 12" DC Level 4XL would be nice in a center console enclosure.
-
Pay this poster a few bucks to design something similar to this for 3 SA-8's or 1508's. That's your best bet. It wouldn't even take much leg room away from you, if any at all.
-
That's still an extremely open-ended question, but let's say this; You do a blow through with three 15" DC Level 3's. That'd be pretty damn loud...
-
It's cool. If I were you, I'd spend some time here @ SMD and caraudio.com looking at build logs. There are lots of guys getting loud in regular cab trucks. Just look around and come up with a game plan. If you have the cash to drop on W7's and JL amps, you've got the cash to do a full on custom build with some lesser known equipment. And if you want to keep things confined behind the seats, I think I already gave you some good advice. Think about running 3 DD 1508's or Sundown SA-8's. They WILL surprise you.

He was being sarcastic.
-
That's understandable. Do what you've gotta do...
-
I'm going to be honest with you; I really wanted to laugh at your install, but it doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought it would. However, I'd put some thought into building a console enclosure if I were you. Downfiring with a rear or upward facing port would be cool.
-
You realize that your statements and questions are extremely open-ended, correct? There are ways to do a big build in a regular cab truck (blow through, custom console). Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
-
The Sundown SA-8 is a beefy little sub too.
-
Take a look at them for yourself. http://www.ddaudio.com/caraudio/09/woofer09_1500.htm

You can start an account at photobucket.com or imageshack.com. I've gotta see pics of this install...
-
You do realize that there are 8"s out there that can get loud, right? 3 DD 1508's would murder a 10" W7...
