It's already done. Hondas thread in tunes near the last couple pages

Well I read that part...port? Was the box built or bought used also?
-
That's also at 1 ohm
-
More information and specs to the box. I've never been able to feed more than 2000 watts safely to the hcca. Also, are you sure you're wired at 2 ohms? What's the electrical like and are you sure the amp is seeing sufficient current? Also, how new are the subs

question on subs.
TeamHT replied to kjj913's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
..................... such an incredibly open and vague question. so many factors when planning a build, most important is what youre trying to get out of it. im going to assume youre on a budget so i would definitely assume starting with a price range. also, are you able to do any of your own installation? can save up more money by learning and building on your own. you have a lot of options and can keep a smaller budget. one of my favorite builds i do for people on a budget are two pioneer championship 12s powered by an AQ1200 -
body kit
TeamHT replied to saltyshoelaces's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
and for a good reason....lol. but Razzi makes a body kit. when a person comes to me dead set on rice, and they need help finding kits, i always use andysautosport.com. they have two razzi kits listed. -
body kit
TeamHT replied to saltyshoelaces's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
if youre dead set on rice, just buy the kit. if you want to glass and something to experiment on go to craigslist, find body parts or interior panels and play around with those. first project i ever did was some old door panels for $10 on CL and then the first time i ever painted was on some old body panels. perfect for experimenting and getting into the hobby. attempting to glass a body kit form scratch is just....a horrible idea. -

Lol, is it just me or does audiofanatic more about bringing down partners? Lol. DC is great, but is the pretty exterior worth double the cost? I'm no engineer, but isn't it possible the more work into painting an alternator would decrease cooling of the alt which would lead to a decrease in max output and performance? Me personally, I let the performance do the talking. I personally don't need a painted alternator to be happy or impress my friends. Triple alternator setup with triple mechman alts is sexy enough. OP, big and beautiful difference between alternators. Congrats on the upgrade. -

i saw his build. the wires are placed horribly, bad battery in a bad location, and in a bad position but i still think his wires are a good size. i think the best bet is a complete redo -
maybe he should have used that money he been had and bought a shirt and pants that fit.

question.
TeamHT replied to kjj913's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
besides the wiring advice, how would you know what is too small or too big for the subs? let alone...why even suggest a better box for mismatched subs sharing a common chamber? i mean...how can you build a box to spec when it has to meet different specs? the OBVIOUS would not be the ground or power wires. in my opinion...ok for the small amount of current hes most likey pulling. i would say OBVIOUS are the subs, then two amps power different said subs in the same enclosure. -
question.

how are the subs and amps even wired? i dont think youre even pulling out the RMS wattage for those amps. first things first...i would get matching subs if youre going to use a 3 sub enclosure common chamber. -

are all three in the same box, or is it a dual box and a single box? -
please explain to me how it is not halfassing it. yes, ive tried it to do my own review and thoughts on the process. does it help? yes. does it help much? not in my opinion. and if youre going to deaden the trunk or any part of the vehicle for that matter, why not just do it properly while youre in there?
-
why half ass it? if youre going to do work in the trunk i would definitely recommend fatmat. great product, cheap, and 100sq ft is way more than enough for your trunk. secondskin is top notch if you have the money. if not, and your equipment is not the normal run of the mill 12" subs and 1000watts rattletrap is incredible.
