  1. told you that shit would look tacky...nobody ever listens to me. PUKEEE. no thanks on that. I listen, I was proving YOUR point. It looks BAD, and that ain't good. LOL
  2. Some people don't deserve to have dogs. I swear, I'd put a bullet in someone before I'd let them hurt a dog. My dogs are my babies now. Fuck with them and you get the business end of a 9mm Sorry you had to see that Steve.
  3. Then I'd say escalate it. He's pretty much made it clear he could care less about shipping or refunding anything right now. Remember, you only have 45 days to dispute anything via PayPal, so if you've already wasted a week dealing with him, if he finally ships late, that's all the less time you have to sort it out if there is a problem with the items purchased.
  4. Not to butt in here, but after reading this entire thread, I've come to the conclusion you all should have a long time ago: He's smoking your money. File the disputes with PayPal. Then, you can escalate it to a full claim, though I think they can make you wait up to 7 days for him to reply; so the sooner you file, the better. Once Paypal finds he's a cheat, they will refund your monies - whether he has it or not. They will then go after him for the money, often just ripping it from the bank account he has attached to the paypal account. As someone who has done thousands of PayPal transactions, I highly recommend you follow though with this ASAP. Bear in mind, get all your documentation in order before setting up the dispute. You can attach files, as far as I've figured out, only BEFORE it escalates.
  5. With that long of a coil, its there to keep it straight so the bottom of the coil doesn't flop around
  6. Oddly enough, a comedian said it best: "I don't wanna die tomorrow knowing I didn't have a piece of cake tonight!" - Gabriel Iglacias His point, and he spells it out a minute later in the act, is what good is it to be safe, to eat "right", to deprive yourself of a good life only to live longer. Great, you'll be alive at 100 but you've not lived a single day. Steve, you said this guy was a nice guy. A good Guy. To me, he lived everyday and we are all better people because of it. Rest in Peace man.
  7. Do your parents lie to you often? LOL Don't expect Verizon iPhone at June Apple event Nor any other surprises likely when new device is announced: Verizon Wireless iPhone? It's been on the wish list of many users for awhile but it's not likely to be announced June 7, when Steve Jobs is expected to unveil the next-generation iPhone. And, with the new iPhone's cover "blown" — a prototype of the device was exposed and analyzed by tech blog Gizmodo.com last month — there may be little new in the way of major news to share when Jobs speaks at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, says one expert, longtime Apple analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray. Munster said in a note that with information already out about the new phone, Apple has "little room for surprise" at the June 7 event. Of course, that doesn't mean there won't be a surprise. Jobs is one of the masters of marketing, and nothing should be ruled out. But a Verizon Wireless announcement is likely ... unlikely. AT&T's exclusive arrangement to sell the iPhone in the United States is due to end this year, although neither Apple or the wireless carrier have commented on whether that agreement is being extended. "We believe that it is unlikely that the next generation iPhone will be available at Verizon (or Sprint) at launch," he wrote in a report. "Rather, it is more likely that it remains exclusively available at AT&T in the U.S. at launch." Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty said a consumer iPhone survey found "substantial pent-up iPhone demand" for the device to be carried by Verizon Wireless, with 16.8 percent of Verizon subscribers saying they would be "very likely" to purchase an iPhone if it were offered by Verizon. Verizon is working to get its fourth-generation, or 4G, network in place before AT&T, before the end of this year. That network would be more suited to the next-generation iPhone's data capabilities for data and video streaming. AT&T plans to start offering its 4G network in 2011, but in the meantime has done extensive upgrades to its third-generation, or 3G, network. © 2010 msnbc.com Reprints http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37401894/ns/technology_and_science-wireless/
  8. "What the hell is a crossover and what does it do. To me, this means leave it in the middle, so the fronts and rears play evenly? " - A Crossover "filters" out sounds the speaker doesn't need. For example, if your crossover to the lower number, say the 50hz, it will filter out everything above that range. The lower the number, the lower the sound filtering. So at 50hz, you would basically filter out all instrumentation and vocals with the exception of certain percussion and bass. This leads to the HP Filter settings. OFF allows all sound from the HU to reach the speakers, while HP or HIGH PASS allows only the higher frequency sounds though, basically eliminating the bass and LP does the opposite in allowing only bass sound to the speaker. It's a preset crossover built into the HU GAIN: This is kind of a "Volume" - to put it generically. What it actually does is change the voltage level of the output. The higher the voltage, the louder it gets. However, the louder it gets, the higher possibility for distortion. Turn the Head Unit up to the LOUDEST volume you want while at a level preventing distortion. Then, turn the gain up for the sub until you get distortion or the volume you want that matches the mids and tweets. Are type S speakers full range? Type S speakers are NOT full range. Full range speakers are either dual cone or have a tweeter attached.
  9. Found one on ebay and it's used as well: $75 as a buy it now. Hope this helps... http://cgi.ebay.com/Alpine-CDA-9827-Car-CD-MP3-Player-/200461537816?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Audio_In_Dash_Receivers&hash=item2eac705218#ht_500wt_1182
