Changing your name:
kingleo replied to meade916's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I would like to change my profile name from "2k2millie" to " kingleo. Thanks. -
Ok I'm getting back into the import scene, and I got a 99 ej8 with a b16a2 swap. It has a head gasket oil leak, no cooling issues, just oil. That will be changed in the next week. But I'm having an issue that pops up every so often. While I'm driving the best way to describe it is the car dies ( does not turn off) then if I floor the gas it will come to life and it will do it again for a while then drive normal. Also while it's dying if I get off the gas then back on it will continue to accelerate. I haven't been able to replicate this while not in gear, as when it dies I can hit the clutch and rev the engine freely. This engine has seen injector work and possibly head work. I'm thinking the stock si ecu that its running isn't up to task. Any ideas?

Suggestions of a civic

Good deal if the body is clean, that motor with a vtec head would be a monster. -
I think their logo is badass. I also like the inverted cone. Looks cleaner.

Well I'm running an 8" and 6.5" pro audio mid in each front door and want my sub stage to keep up, but I need the trunk space. So mainly sq but want to be able to shake it up when I need to.
-
That's what I've heard but just want to hear from those who may have heard both subs. Thanks.
-
Looking to do either or. Which is a better sub? Will be powering them with a MB Quart Q1500 d.
-
Check out Powerbass 4xl 8's on MB Quart q4.150. And the amp is bandpass capable.
-
Should have gotten 4 gauge just in case you add more amps. 8 gauge won't do the trick.
-
Use MDF wood or Birch, stay away from plywood. Measure twice, cut once. Go over your sub specs and box calcs until you ate sure it's what you want. If you use screws, predrill your holes so the wood doesnt split on you. Better to use the gorilla glue and a nail gun. Shoot them in about every inch and a half. Silicone your joints after to make it air tight.

Also more sound at less power.

I have the mb q4.150 also and I'm running 2 8" powerbass mids and 2 6.5's in each door of my integra the build is on here. And with the x-overs on the amp an a clarion pre- amp /eq have got them cleaner and louder then any set of comps I've had before. I've had two sets of RE Audio 6.5c's, 2 sets of crescendos, jbl 650c's, if tuned right pro audio is the way to IMO.

will wiring 4ohm componets to 2 ohm ruin them?
kingleo replied to JBLEEZE33's topic in Mid's and highs
Just connect the + of the front doors to the + of the first channel, do the same for the -. Then do the same for the rear doors on the second channel. Then run the 6x9's on the last 2 channels. -
I had two sets in my front doors in my millenia and I thought the midbass was warm and punchy but the tweets are harsh. Even on the -3db in th crossover. They may fix that on the new batch but I would go with a different company. With th right processing you can't beat a pro audio mid and tweet. They get louder and clearer on little power.

I just ordered mine today, can't wait to throw it on my Powerbass 8's and 6.5's. They dropped the price to 199 free shipping.

I'm stuck once again with wrapping my door Panels with vinyl. This is my second time trying to get it right but I guess I just dont know what I'm doing when it comes to certain areas. If anyone knows of a good place to get them wrapped in th Orlando, fl area let me know. I'll post pics of my fail later.
