  1. The second update video is up. The car ia a good deal further than this currently. We should have another one up by early next week; hopefully.
  2. I really don't think that will be too hard of a task. I can say the trunk will be sundown amps and subs with glasswork.
  3. lets say i didnt have it and i had 300bucks to spend. what would you reccomend? also im after quality not just all out SPL i dont care what numbers the system makes so long as it sounds good!! I highly recommend the SA-10, but I have honestly never put it in a sealed enclosure. Something along the lines of that or a DC sub would be great. I would sell you my Type X 10, but i'm sure shipping across the pond is high. lol do tell about the Type X, problem with sundown is there isnt a UK dist same with DC as far as im aware? It's been sitting here since Feb., but my friend had it on a JL 1000/1. Sounded great.

  5. A type R is a great sub. I would keep it over buying an SA or something similar. That's coming from a Sundown dealer. lol If you didn't already have it, then I would make other suggestions.
  6. I've installed several n4's. We haven't had any issues with their amps. I don't have any experience with the BB series, but we have to ship off the pa amps we have all the time. Same with their head units.
  7. It all depends on the shop and location. I been doing this for 5 years now professionally. I have worked at shops where 25K was doing well, and other were 50K or more was possible. Most installers are paid on commission, and pay is great from Oct.-April. It's been my experience that summers are slow; even more so now than when i started. Most shops have go to guys for certain tasks and you want to be the alarm guy most of the time. A wider variety of customers want alarms. Most of the time you will be doing a radio and two or radio and four install. Being certified got me in the door and I started at Circuit City; which actually paid decent. Now I have an electronic's degree and paint as well.
  8. Thanks. The customer also has a '64 Impala that we are redoing the audio in. The paint on it is great. This one should of been considering the same guy painted both cars.
  9. Gabe Leblanc and my self are in the process of rebuilding a 1983 Cutlass. We are in the process of doing body work at the moment. Once the car is in primer; we will moving on to the audio work. Then we will bring it back to finish the paint. We started making vids and will gradually get better at that part. I forgot how to embed. LOL
  10. if you keep it the vehicle do the big 3 and run 4ga wiring and see how much that helps if not it may be time to upgrade batt/alt.
  11. I have the brightest silverstar bulbs in my truck(high/low beams/reverse/taillights/cargo & license bulbs). They aren't blue, but they have wide angles and are very bright.
  12. i have altec lansing in a 16' by 20' room and its great...its not as impressive as a custom setup or something really high-end.
  13. its possible to cause damage under extreme excursion in a ported setup, but its rare and i'm sure with your sub you should be felling alot of air through your port
  14. This brings back memories; my brother is a good bit older than me and i remember him having a toyota truck that looked like those...the shit was loud for back in the day
  15. i would do this either, but to each his own...i highly recommend getting matching subs, even if you have to wait.
  16. Thanks for all the input. I have only known of one person to use the brand(he were sponsored in 2006), but i didn't get to see the completed vehicle. It looks like i will be trying these then; if it doesn't sound how i want i'll just keep as mobile electronic history lol.
  17. i'm really thinking about it; mostly cause not many people have it anymore but i'm also considering diamond audio which i have experience with.
  18. yeah those are the 100 series i was looking at either the 600, 800 or 900 series depending on how much my marquis takes to get running...I even considered 2 15" 400 series in a sealed box or 2-12" 600 series ported in my truck..the amps come with a remote volt meter and bass knob
  19. they were owned by the same people as audiobahn, but was put at a much higher standard as seen in past retail prices. Now their product line is very small as they are suppose to be building the company back up. i was looking into amps, subs and components, but mostly amps the pma1200.1 has caught my eye. says to be rated 1200rms @ 4ohm @ 14.4v and goes up to 2400rms @ 1omh @ 14.4ohm with .o3thd...plus the built in hour meter is a sweet idea
  20. Bump..I'm still looking for more information about this brand..The rating look great, the price is fair now, i researched the brands history and the product looks great. Just looking for some people with 1'st hand experience. I'm stuck between this brand and two others.
  21. nice..my sister did had the 300c conversion for awhile then went charger lol
  22. yeah basically its just electrical current sounding like a synthesizer.
