  1. A good 2000 watt amp for cheap isnt going to happen. Your going to buy top of the line DC subs and not give them some good, clean power? that doesnt make sense. Lets see, the level threes come in dual 2 or dual 4. You could wire the dual twos down to 1.34 ohms. The cheapest yet trustworthy amp I can name would be the Soundstream TX1.2000D. It does 2000 watts at 1 ohm. Obviously at 1.34 ohms you would get a little less power but thats ok becasue the level threes only take 600 a piece. The TX1.2000D comes in at $380. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_25246_Soundstream_TX1-2000D.aspx EDIT: and what he said. The AQ is a good amp too.
  2. Check the fuses. Then check them again. Then check them again.
  3. How does adding a second battery stress the alt more??? I had no problems running 4 XS D3100s with a stock 120amp alt in a mini van. . If your alternator is already stressed from the load and has trouble charging one battery it would have EVEN MORE trouble charging two batteries.
  4. I think you just answered your own question there. Get a good amp please
  5. Capacitors are along the same lines as batteries. They only put more stress on your alternator so they can actually hurt you. Like I said, alternator first, then batteries.
  6. 2000 on a stock alt is asking for alot. You would definitly get some voltage drop. And adding a second battery only stressing the alternator more. Alternator first, then batteries. You dont need a massive alt. Maybe around 180 amps? Anyone agree?
  7. Induction is the replacement Induction?
  8. The DC site says level 3's are 600 watts RMS and 1200 watts peak. I would say you should be ok running 850 RMS IF your smart about it. Hows your electrical?
  9. x3. Go with the 3 10's. There's no replacement for displacement.
  10. OR an Audioque 3500D. It does 2600 at 2 ohms. and 4300 watts at 1 ohm. That way when you upgrade your system you already have an amp with power to spare. Its also cheaper than the Rockford with more power. (P.S Is this turning into a competition of how many amp combinations we can come up with? I think so.)
  11. Soundstream Tx1.2600D Does 2600 watts at .5 ohms. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_25247_Soundstream_TX1-2600D.aspx It's also cheaper than the Rockford or the Kicker.
  12. My first amp (and still using it) is a Kicker ZX400.1. Back then it was paired with a 10" Kicker CVR in a small sealed box...... I'm moving up. Slowly.
