when they get warm you are clipping them! Mine is drastically over powered handles it fine, but i clip the slightest bitthe temp starts to creep up real quick, ask rusty i think ill be ordering my 9th and 10th recones on monday haha, but i only blow em clippin when im fuckin around wit my bass knob like a dumbass I would do more port area 12 to 16 sq inches per foot Anyone who knows more than me please feel free to correct me! I gave mine the 2 1500 at 1 ohm, .5 a peice, and it handeled it only reason i poped it cuz i clipped the shit out of it, now im pushing a sd8k to 1 lvl5 18 daily and it drinks it NEVER gets warm I say do it! Make sure u set you gains correctly tho

how big is you box going to be? 12 cubes? I know thoes trunks are big i gotta new grand marquis, and im struggling to get 2 18s in mine...im thinking about just goin with 1, to be honest if i had to do it over id go with the 15s, 18s just need a ton of airspace, my first box for 2 looked great sounded horriable.... In all tho go with the xls they are beastly

Adjustiable airshocks are the most pracitical way i can loadd my grand marquis wit 2 lvl 5 18s 160+ 200 pound box at least + 80+lbs in amps and all the wire and batts i got another 200 pounds, and i can still put 5 fat bitches in my car and be fine Be realistice ur adding strain on. Sprin gs that are not ment to take it bottom like airshocks are do your car a favor the kits are cheap and are adjustible with a little compressor and a bike fill line u can fill em at any gas station!

From my experince all subs basically sound like shit free air, only my jbl p1222 sounded better than my dc, in the box its a whole league the dc will tramp 3 of them on less power and smaller box tem lvl 5 18s are crazy shit, only reason i was basically underground in a giant concrete box the garage at my parents....
