  1. The single RF 12 is just temporary. In the future I want to go with two 15s. Plus, there is the mids and highs. I'm not add in more alts just replacing the stock one. I fingered it can do better output a low RPMs so it would be less of a strain.
  2. 2 part question: 1- Where can I get a high output alt for a 2002 Mazda Protege? 2- Would adding a high output alt help ease the strain on the engine over a stock alt powering the same system?
  3. I built a box roughly 3 cubic feet and I must say it sounds allot better. Here is the build
  4. Rear the last line of my original post. I was now where near a computer and my phone doesn't work well on web sites.
  5. PWhat is the diffrence between the lx and es package on a 2002 mazda protege? I don't have access to any resources to find out, other then this site.
  6. I was a little worried about wasting mdf but I fuger when the time comes to up grade to a bigger better sub I will already have the box. Know one ever stops learning.
  7. The only down side is I don't have the room for that big of a box. wenn_du_weinst is right. You should be ok with the power you have, just don't get over zealous with the volume knob. Facing back will give you better low end extension, perfect with the shallow roll off of the large sealed box. Would I be ok going with 3ft?
  8. How are the AQs they where another option I was thinking...
  9. 200 - 300 total for subs. I'm asking you guys what's out there. I want to stay away from kicker, clairion, pioneer, alpin and mtx. I just trying to get others opinions. I'm kinda thinking RE but I want to know what else is out there to fit my budget.
  10. I'm looking at getting more bass in my car. I'm looking to spend about 200 to 300 on sub(s). Either two twelves, a 15 or a 18. I will pick the amp when I fuiger out what sub I'm going to use. The box will be sealed off from the trunk. With full electrical upgrade. So let's get a brain storming!
  11. Lmfao! Must be nice to throw money around like that. I must say though he is trying new things. And if we don't try new things we will never discover. If that makes any sence
  12. ]+ess I know what I'm doing thiss summer
  13. Cool thing is I have another speaker to play with so I think gas is going to be a definit. But any other options?

Facing back will give you better low end extension, perfect with the shallow roll off of the large sealed box. I was looking at my trunk last night and it looks like I may just have the room. Plus the 4ft box would be a wow factor IMO
  15. 1 gallon = 3.79 Litters $1.30 a litter = $4.93 a gallon It may not be $8 a gallon but it's still more then what I used to pay.
  16. 4ft sounds pretty big, considering the specs say 1.25 sealed is max recommended.
  17. I'm still debating that. I heard they sound better sealed... I think I will try both and see which is better.
  18. IT FINALLY ARRIVED!! They first attempted to deliver it on the 11th but, no one was home. I took three tries. Third time the charm. Stay tuned to ''My First Build'' to see it installed.
  19. As the title says, I'm doing a sing sub set up for my Mazda Protege and was wondering where the best place to put the sub was and where to face it. It's going to be a RF P212S4 on about 150 - 200 rms.
  20. I am not to sure about the amp but, off topic I would say 1 sub at full power compaired to 2 at half.
