Driving down road and system went off, thought it was protect for I power off and powered on radio, still nothing. I leave it off till I get home and when I get home there is no lights on the amp. I opened my hood to check the fuse and its good, and fuses on amp are good. Lil corossen on termials on battery so I cleaned them, still nothing. Seems as if the power wire just died. Its 4g true rockford. Checked gounds and end terminals all good.. So what can it be?

Any other way to fix this? or should I just get a new amp?

Well its in a car with a Jensen flip out now. But I put my old amp in and it turns on perfect.

Well we hooked it up in another car and same thing.. the remote wire is working. Just not turning on.

Amp doesn't turn on unless you have a jumper from 12v to remote.. but then it doesn't ever turn off. How do you fix this?

Found out what it really was I belive. Ohm load But still doesn't make sense that it would only protect when car was on.

Went to autozone, bat and alt checked good.

this. also check your grounds, and check them again.. what size wire is the power and ground wire? where are you grounded, where is the amps location in the vehicle. how hot is it in the car? Not sure, we've tried windows down, and A/C is there any airflow to the amp when your driving? Its behind the seat in an SUV.. amp is hot to touch after some time.

Friends amp pops into protect, sony xplode 700watt with 1 12" Audiobaun SE Funny thing is, he can play it with car on ACC and it bangs, but as soon as we go for a drive turn it up over 31/40 i goes into protect. with car off, he can go fully. Thoughts? Yes I know check grounds and everything, and I know its bad to play with car off, it was just to test it for ~45 seconds.

Just use speaker grills.

Yeah, I Ellis does 151+ surprising as hell.. He was out at the Fry's Electronic show in League City, Texas when Twisted was there. I would never run boss again, one burnt amp was all I needed to know. Save some more cash, and get something that will last.
