  2. the sound retriever option isused for burned cds which are compressed to fit on the disc and lose quality the sound retriever uncompresses it bringing a higher bit rate out thats all it does its not like a loudness feature or bass boost if it sounds worse its probably because it was a bad recording of the music and its bringing it out more.
  3. Honestly you dont have to connect that wire unless you want it to dim at night when you turn on your lights so i would say just leave it disconnected and cap them off.
  4. the pioneer 9400bh has a silver face and you can adjust the color of the lighting to match your vehicle worth checking out heres a link http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P9400BH
  5. get a multimeter and make sure that the powers are at 12v or higher and the remotes are at 12v or higher and check your grounds also the amps might light up just with the remote powering them and you might have a bad connection at a fuse block or distribution block so check voltage first.
  6. Ive had experience with both and both are great subs but the mtx puts out a little more so i would recomend the mtx and they will handle a little more power 750rm vs 600rms
  7. Call dd and talk to Kyle over there tell him what your working with and that its for spl and he'll give a box design for it.
  8. Yeah it will honestly for daily you want to be higher or youll lose a lot of what is in a lot of music so it'll sound better at a higher freq and is recomended my dd 9512 sc is at 40 and sounds great
  9. using your dimensions you have 10.07 cubic feet interior so minus the .75mdf not including port or speaker displacement if you use the above dimensions for the port which are 31.5w x 4h and just put it at 21d youll be at 37hz port displacement is 1.53 and speaker displacement is .46 for both giving you a total interior of 8.08 cubic feet giving each speaker 4.04 which is just a little shy of 4.25 which is the recomended max for the speaker so you'll be fine and where you want to be at in terms of tuning.
  10. I haven't had much expeerience with rd audio but im pretty sure they don't make a 15 in the alpha v2 and i think youll be better off with the 2 type s which handle 300 rms a piece for a total of 600 rms vs the rd which has 500 rms plus one type s has almost the same xmax 12.8 vs 13mm so both speakers put out the same displacement almost so 2 type s will move more air than one rd audio so stick with what you got hope this helps
  11. Your talking about my car lol and the port is actually 18 x 4 x 23 and tuned at 33hz. these subs are made for smaller boxes I saw in your thread and still feel you need port area. That may work but doesn't seem optimal at all. Its a little under optimal but with a trunk build thats the best i could do
