thank you can anyone else confirm this so i can say case close?

ok if i have a box and it is about 2.00 cu.ft roughly and to tune it to 35 hz i need 12inches of port could i have 2 6" long ports on each side of the box for example my port now is behind the driver seat on top of the box and it is 16" long and my sub is in the middle of the box what if i put a 8" port on top on both sides of the box. what will happen? so there is about 10-12inches on each side from the side to the sub

no if it was possible i would have done it but now i understand what the manual was saying so not a complete waste i learned what it really meant. fails...

i dont got a problem lol mine is wired at 2ohms and is a d4 aq sub in 2.00 cu.ft at 35hz so mine is fine.

... ill take a picture of it and show you what the manual says i know how to wire it lol im just saying ++-- there first 2 positives to the 2 positives on the 4ohm dvc sub and the 2 negatives on the 2 negatives of the 4 ohm dvc sub is what the manual says to get a 4ohm at 1 ohm load is all im saying im wiring it 2 ohm at this very second.

i was looking at the manual of the amp and it shows a pics that has 1 sub and shows a wiring like diagram where you take both positive on the amps and put it on both positives of the sub and both negatives of amp on both negatives on the sub then says 4ohm - 1ohm what does that mean cause far as im aware there is no way to wire a 4 ohm dvc sub at 1 ohm.

yeah the amps are great ask around . and yeah i do have the fiber optic system it sounded even better once the new headunit was tied in hope you have good luck with this build HO Alt high output alternator thats why he got mechman alt being build? and crescendo has been ou of stock for nearly 2-3 months and wer epost re stock at begginging of this month but hasnt so i can understand not wanting to wait. but call mike over at audioque in order department. then amps are rated at RMS and work great and they do rated if not better. good luck with your build by the way check my c230 log and you will see i still got the bose speakers in. by the way what is the box looking like for them BTL's?

look you wanna know what aq is like check out AMICUSTOMS or watch one some of my videos and check out my build log im doing a build on a aq sub now they are stiff very stiff when u get them but now that i have played it for last month and now that it has loosen up at 35 hz it is great sub amazing and my friends do systems to they got more stuff then me and i hang well with them like my friend dakoto has sundown 3k on two fosgate i think punchs?mom has JL brother in law has FI BL mark has MA and michael has sundown i say the sundown and aq are close to each other very they are both nice subs but my aq isnt all the way broken in either im not making this a vs thread but i love my aq sub it is amazing for its size and price and i can wait to see my 1200d tomorrow.and i said 2 15"s cause i like sounds of the 15 on the 2200 sounds just better to me and i dont like the idea of all the subs unless your tuning 2 of them at like 40+ hz and other 2 at 35hz just my super long opinion lol

2 15"s and everyone i talked to about AQ says 35hz is good and when they do loosen up (which takes times ) they are amazing.

defiantly i mean they did suck on the factory amp and headunit but when i switched to my double din they sounded good but i know what ya mean that was befor ei had a system in it.

yeah i had this same problem with my moms amp on her c230 lol. good luck dude we ended up taking it to a benz dealership and having a new one put in also cool u got a c230 also my mom has a 2003 sport coupe with kompressor engine but hey if you need know anything about that car putting a system in let me know. ohh by the way ray is right on 1000+ atleast...

ok this is not really a build log its just a build i have already done and would like people to review if it is clean or not other then the head unit could be in with a better dash made of fiberglass or so. 2003 mercedes c230 kompressor coupe 6 speed manual pirelli tires K&N cool intake AMG Heads and pistons AMG Racing Transmission Concept ddm-50 headunit California 800.1 mono amp ( does rated ) 4ga kicker hyperflex kicker rca's stinger fuse kicker 8 ga speaker wire 2 JL 12w1v2 3 or 4 cu.ft box sealed i made and carpeted. bose door speaker mids 6 of them and 2 bose highs on factory amp mercedes have a 220 amp alternator on most and 16.6 volt batterys. a small note dont mind wire around headunit my mom just got back from a big trip and that was the gps they borrowed that is not usually there and i installed this system im 17 name is skyler and i live in florida tampa area. its a 6 speed 4 cylinder supercharged engine we got dual cool intake on it and some head work done by the way these are the same engines that are in AMG racing mercedes ( street series ) Bose factory door speakers with factory amplifier ( sorry didnt get a pic of factory amp. ) front set rear set also in the front door By the way this is back seat of the coupe and this is my mom car she has a one year old in this car. the car is a mess right now the double din concept ddm-50 California Audio 800.1 mono amp 2 12w1v2 in a sealed box that is like 3 cu.ft i believe? maybe more ill have to check again i made the box myself to sum it up mercedes has 16.6 volt batterys (when running)

DC so u can tune it easier plus ask ohh crud i forgot his name he use to run his 3.5k's on dc lvl 4 15's he loved the amp i heard i also think the DC look sleeker so why not keep the dc family together
