We upgraded anything that wasn't perfect on the first run ----- T/S Specs: Re = 3.37 ohms (4 ohm nominal) Fs = 34.9 hz Qes = 0.5323 Qms = 6.93 Qts = 0.4943 Vas = 7.6 L BL = 13.3 N/A Mms = 127.7 grams Cms = 162 um/N Xmax = 12mm one-way linear (70% BL method) Rated RMS Power = 200 watts Depth = 4.25" OD w/ gasket = 8 5/16" Cut Out = 7" Sealed Box: 0.280 ft^3 w/ F3 of 50 Hz (Qtc = 0.707) Ported Box: 0.60 ft^3 tuned to 30 Hz F3 of 25 Hz ----- SQ Review by "nismos14" on DIYMA: Initially I was very impressed with the tonality and the output. It played various notes with authority. It's meant to be crossed (at least in my application) at 80 hz, anything higher and I recieved a lil breakup in the output. I am reallllly enjoying these subs with all kinds of music, rock/rap/country. They are doing a great job! SQ: 8 Power handling: 9 LFE: 10 Output: 9 Build Quality: 10 Total: 46 These are just preliminary numbers, I will post more when I am done with a few weeks of listening time. They are DEFINATELY a competitor to the CMASS in overall sound and output! I am VERY impressed, especially at this price point. ----- * New taller surround / new style cone with slightly recessed dust cap * Tied down tinsel leads - no slapping! * Side view - same as before * Rear view - same as before w/ pole vent and gap venting
  2. We have found a variation on the 12-spoke with slightly more meat in it. Of course, Brandon is the only one breaking baskets We probably will use something different for the Monster when it is finally ready for market.
  3. MLA module ? Have you slid the box forward to try that ? Tried tilting the back up and burping it ? Tilting the front up ?
  4. Nah, didn't see that - Brandon is from Iowa Shhh... he doesn't have his VISA from his native Ioweiga
  5. Eric, If I hired you then I'd be accused of importing ALL my workers from Iowa *laughs*
  6. These are still on sale @ dealers for $350 until the end of the month!
  7. Yep, same place - three different enclosure designs too. Right along the bottom... leave a flat piece of aluminum bolted to the motor.
  8. You would need to know the actual impedance of your woofer at 60 Hz. Wall sockets typically have a ~15 amp breaker on them too, I trip mine all the time hooking up subs 15 amps x 120 volts = 1800 watts You can get a bit more than that out of a breaker before it trips, though.
  9. Not sure None of my other customers have broken any... Brandon has broken three *laughs* No wonder you see QC Specialist on his card, right ?
  10. I know, right ? Two months in the Jeep = no problems... two hours in the Bronco = broken basket!
  11. They are on intro sale for $350 at Sundown dealers.
  12. Yep! These are sealed / ported woofers, very flexible.
  13. Same box / setup as we test the Monster sub with - but we have the amps at 2 ohms each vs. 1/2 ohm each.
  14. I am quite impressed with it so far
  15. We did 148.6 on the first run but we didn't take a picture... got hot after a couple of burps so it went down a hair We have four 1500Ds @ 2 ohms each on it, no clue on actual power after rise - but I think it would actually sustain more on a burp. Not bad for my upcoming 1000-watt rated woofer, huh ?
  16. Probably not - they will eventually protect at a certain power level. I can't say for sure, though, as I haven't tested that low.
  17. Yah, pretty much http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7117
  18. Indeed - I'm sure you'll see more reviews rolling in as people hook theirs up
  19. The 1200 does around 1500 watts or so at 1 ohm - it pretty easily exceeds the HiFonics amp.
  20. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=22349 Originally posted by "Porchup" ----- You told me that my SAE-1200D would not go "Thump" when powering down and you held true to that. Absolutely no noise what so every. It is perfect and for that, I thank you. BUT....as for the power rating I have to call BS. No way no how. I turned this thing on and it scared the chit out of me. I'm running two sealed 12" TC-9's and I thought they were going to fly out of the box. I had always felt happy with my Hifonics 1606D with it's 1600 watt rating but this 1200 puts it to shame. I was running the Hifonics at 3/4 gain and the 1200D is at 1/3 gain and I'm still turning my processor levels down. With my upgraded Alternator my voltage stays at 14.4 even at an idle so I know this puppy is producing much more than 1200 watts. As always I am more than impressed and extremely happy with this purchase. Maybe you should put a warning label on this one for those of us with weak hearts. Damn good job my man.
  21. We got ~2900 or so at 16 volts at 1/2 ohm nominal. We were able to get about the same at 12 volts but dropping to 1/4 ohm nominal. Pretty much scales directly with the rating in how much more power you get than the 1500D - quite logical since this design is basically the same as the 1500D with more of everything
