  1. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=17856 "The 15" Nightshades are out-selling the 12s by a tremendous margin so I'd like to see more 12s get out there! So... this is the deal. BNIB A-Stock Nightshade 12s - $375 shipped * TWO FOR $720 shipped B-Stock Nightshade 12s (as pictured in the used, b-stock, etc thread) - $350 shipped * TWO FOR $680 shipped Available in D1 or D2 coils. Paypal to [email protected] I will keep this open until June 7th, so get em' now!"
  2. Indeed , you can stick any woofer in a sealed box Many other SPL drivers with extremely low Qts would have about zero low-end response.
  3. LoL, not my words - but I'm flattered that 80Inches is in love with his woofers so much
  4. Sealed is not the best option for these, but 80 has shown that they do much better than expected.

I put it on the meter(tl mic).....and out the box and into a 3 cube sealed box withone saz1500 in the back of a 02 pathfinder ( sub facing back) it was able to do a 141 sealed at the glass on music....i belive i have that on video...i will upload it 2night and see wat i have .... but when we burped it ( sandbaggin like hell cuz we didnt want to push the sub being so new) the nightshade pulled a 142 sealed at the glass so based on the small test..i can honestly say in 3 cubes sealed it has the potential to bass race in the 139.9 class...which is insane for a sub that belongs in a ported box..... once this go's in a ported box...actually 4 in a ported clamshell. with 4 saz1500d with 4 kinetik 2400 in back and one stinger 1750 up front.....oh and last but not least...hifonics maxxlink....soon the pathfinder will be very very loud and so really good ...build log will be comming up be4 the end of the month.. 80 goal...to play music at 153 and burp mid to high 150's sealed at the glass " -------- I can say that this is the first sealed SPL test *laughs* Pretty impressive for a box the sub was not designed to work in.
  6. Indeed. I just wanted it to be clear, with the internet people can take things almost any way - intended or not.
  7. FYI, thats also still quite rare even with vibrations - your friends went through almost as many 3000Ds as have failed since I started selling them in one weekend.
  8. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=17667 Even lower pricing posted... this time blow-out pricing @ $115 shipped! Due to the low price only a warranty against DOA is offered. These are USA built drivers so I still fully expect them to last for many years AND re-cone parts will remain available for quite a while. This version is being discontinued to make room for the v.3 edition.
  9. Yep. Ended up using a single 10" in her car. She wants two 12s... uh oh!
  10. Okay. 15s are 88.39 dB and 12s are 85.39 dB Take from D2 15" and D1 12" respectively (have those handy). 1w/1m and not 2.83 volts.
  11. Could make a point like the Orion Concept rated at 1-watt if it keeps getting out of hand... I'd rather not have to, but it bordering on ridiculous.
  12. nSPL is getting more ridiculous by the day... an amp confirmed to draw 1000 amps will be allowed in 0-400 class. Tell me how that works ? Fred may as well not have rules if they are allowed to bend that much.
  13. Hah, yes, someone photoshopped that. It's just a 3000D with some p-chop.
  14. I'm not going to pre-sell them but will quite likely do an intro sale once they are here - that way the first few buyers can share their experience so people know what they are getting first.
  15. They aren't up yet. They are on my *** forum which is having technical trouble right now, in a sticky post up top. Site will be updated soon as well.
  16. Little reminder that I do have b-stock Nightshades available - more and more reviews are rolling in on them
  17. I'll post up once we get everything up and running with the two 3000s!
  18. It's also critical to set the gains right on the SAZ series amps - especially @ under 1 ohm. Since the SAZ amps can produce well in excess of their rated power @ voltages over 14.4 volts they can't have an over-current protection anywhere near the rated power. Therefore, the amp will continue to play well into clipping and power levels that can lead to damage without shutting off or giving warning. About 90% of the SAZ line amps that come back for warranty have the gain and/or bass boost at maximum levels, many of them being ran at 1/2 ohm or less on top of that. On the contrary, the new SAE line will have such protection so will be easier for people to set up and avoid damage. At around ~33% over rated power (1600 watts) the SAE-1200D goes into a 5 second protection so you know you need to change your settings.
  19. I hate it when you build a box then it won't go in the trunk opening *laughs* My girlfriend has a 96' Mustang and I ended up having to take out the wooded trunk floor and the carpet as well as remove the trunk latch to get the box in... then had to replace it under the box once it was in. I was sweating it, thought I may have had to make a new box!
  20. They way it's looking I think you'll get 152 with the 1500s!
