  1. All right I figured it was cancellation of some sort due to my electrical being pretty stable. Some good news is, I strapped them like shown on the sundown website, letting the master take all the positive connections and the slave getting all the negatives. Needless to say its fucking loud, only problem now is it goes into protect on the lows because my lack of electrical, and I have a nice little engine noise going (bad rcas? I paid 40 bucks for them? Knuknonceptz?) Anyways, appreciate all your help. It BUMPS when its on haha.
  2. So the reason my subs are playing louder on one amp then two is because I didn't master/slave them correctly? Wouldn't as long as the amps receiving a signal from the other amp it would be louder than just 1 .5 ohm sundown 1500? I'm not sure but Ill try to strap them and see if that works out.
  3. I really dont understand how only 1 amp is running. Im almost positive I have it right, even in the manual all you need is a mono RCA from BR in to BR out. Im not looking to strap these amps, I am running each sub to each amp. My subs are dual 2. I've never heard of this happening, I dont know what to do at all other than just keep it on the 1 amp at .5 ohms.
  4. When I had the one amp at .5 voltage would constantly dip to around the 11.5 mark but then charge right back up to 13.8, this was a constant process. With both amps cranked, the voltage drops were nothing compared to the one running at .5 ohms. This is whats strange to me. That mainly describes strapping them, to master/slave them all I did was add rca from input to output, maybe I did make a mistake there? I have no idea. Someone just told me I HAVE to strap them to make them work correctly, but I wasn't aware of this.
  5. I love having a loud system and shit but I am pushing my equipment so hard its not even worth it. Today really almost put me over the edge, I go and for a second time, hook up both amps and hope for the best. Well previously I was pushing both of my BL's with a sundown 1500 at .5 ohms, but it gets so hot its not even funny (have alot of electrical problems, HOT amps even at 1 ohm, melting fuse holders, voltage drops) Well I hook both up, everything powers up good, everything sounds NORMAL, unlike the previous time where it sounded like it was out of phase. Anyways, I start to jam it and what do you know, the 1 sundown 1500 is atleast twice as loud then pushing both amps. What the fuck can honestly make this possible? I am pretty sure I had them master/slaved right, but why would my 1 1500 at .5 ohms push my subs harder than two 1500 watt amps at 1 ohm? HELP ME.
  6. Thanks man, amp got way too hot today and decided I'm not going to have anymore beat untill I decide what the fuck is wrong with my electrical. First the fuse holder melting and now the amp gets incredibly hot, running at 1 ohm or .5 ohms, I don't know what to do.
  7. Yeah but does it have a name? Or is it just "black ca glue"
  8. What type of CA glue is used exactly on cones and spiders and such? That black stuff? I heard you can get it at hobby stores I'm just not sure what its called.
  9. And you've turned the phase each way on each amp to see if theres a match that works?
  10. Pounding like always Steve, but what is that song at 6:23, anyone know?
  11. I had a somewhat similar problem man and It wasn't impedance because I was running one FI BL on my sundown 1500 and when I added my second sub/amp to the system (box is double chambers) it did not sound loud at all. Maybe your electrical just cant power both amps?
  12. For some reason I love money on my mind by lil wayne slowed down.
  13. I had that design drawn out too but theres a couple flaws there. It would be hard getting wood in certain spots like the center of the D, it would also be hard in general just cutting out those shapes. I figured just a almost symterical I shape would be the easiest to cut and cheapest plexi price wise. All I need is a 2x4 sheet and cuts are pretty simple.
  14. Read my first post I explain it the best I can. 3 baffles, plexi llies within the middle one, the first and last are the two lips, lots of screws and silicon, should be air tight and no flex.
  15. I know how clever, a plexiglass window in a DC sounds box. I liked the idea Will had so I wont lie this design is definitely inspired by his box. The plan to keep the plexi from flexing is having it be 3/4 inch plexiglas, and have the back of the box triple baffled. The first 3/4 MDF will be cut a bit bigger than the window, the second piece will be an exact cut out so it fits snug, making the plexi sit flush, then the last baffle will be like the first, cut out a little bit larger, to cover up any silicone/screws/glue used to hold it in place. Now does anyone know where I can get custom cut lexan/plexi?
  16. Haha camera didnt pick it up as well as I wanted, but it was really cool on some notes, the smoke was moving like crazy back and forth.
  17. Thanks ill try that out, after a couple coats of the semi flat it actually looks decent. I am going to drop 40 on one of those killer can 2 step clear coat/hardeners and finish it up.
