but a 270 would be lesse strain on the engine or is it a huge diff from 270-320 only 50 amps more

i wondering if a 1.8 liter 4cyl engine can take a 320amp alternator or should a 270amp alternator work better any one running a HO alternator on 4cyl engines?

get the level 6 18s shits a crazy sub i got 1 and do 4 level 6s on 40k soon im tyring to run to dc audio level 6 18s on 20k ima run the 1 i got now on 8-10k

do what i did geta level 6 18 and put 8k on that beast will i didnt do it yet but hopefully in a month or 2 ill have 8k on my level 6 18 hoppefully soon 8k but i would do the level 5s 3500rms to each would be nice

thats pretty badass man ima run a DC audio level 6 18 on a sd8000.1d i needed to know what a SD8000.1 at 14.4 volts does i dont want to run over 9k on the sub 9k down would be nice 10k just to risky ima to far away for a recone hhahahhahaha

A 400 amp alt is fine for 8kW, but you'll run into voltage issues at idle. What kind of batteries? Amp hours mean nothing. 3 runs of + and - are sufficient. And with said electrical, yes, you will have significant voltage drop at full tilt. 400A charging @ 2k RPM will hold its own for a while, however. Here's my 10k setup: 320A alt 5x HC2400s 2 runs +/2 runs - Big 3, buss bars, etc. I can run decently at idle, but I can't demo for hours.
