    Another way to make a good ground to put it simply is make sure that your area that you are grounded to is completely sanded and make sure that the wire is not loose inside the terminal ring on the end and make sure its tight when you screw it down

    Upgrade OS. Windows 7? I'll check that now. I want to resolve this myself. The computer repair shop here charges ungodly amounts, even to diagnose. I know waht you mean about the $$$$ they charge.... Btw if you can afford to purchase Windows 7 i would recommend it because its an AWESOME fuckin OS i love it on my laptop

    You could also go online and try to find the model specific audio driver for your laptop and redownload/install it and see if that works

    I would check your plugs and catalytic converter 1st then look at the vacuum lines Sounds to me like a combo of clogged cat and fouled plugs
