Do you know the year of the motor it came off of??? I remember that quads from 350's were in the 795-825 cfm range (at least the 4-barrels were). They were huge, but sucked ass for carbs. Is it a 2-barrel or 4-barrel???

Quadrajets are the biggest pain in the ass carb ever made. Was it the factory one that came with the car and you just had it rebuilt??? Or did you get it from another car with a different motor??? If it's from a different motor, I can almost guarentee you it's too big and it's running too rich. That's why it won't idle correctly and you smell gas coming out the pipes.

Ok, so I go to do some last minute christmas shopping for my wife and my truck wants to take a break from driving around town. I have an 02 Silverado w/ a 5-speed, I always set the e-brake when I park, and put it in gear for extra measure. So I was airing up my tires at the gas station tonight about 6:30, and it's in the upper 30s-low 40s. I had my 5 month old daughter in the truck with me to boot. I go to leave and release the e-brake and the damn cable snaps. The e-brake was only half released, so I was goin nowhere fast. After 20 mins of searching where it coulda snapped at I called up basshead and asked him about it to see if he knew anything about where the most common place for it to snap was. He tells me to check behind the release handle, he had a similar prob with a truck he once had. Sure enough it snapped back there, but it was right next to my power wire, odd to me. Doesn't look like the cable was rubbing on the wire, but nonetheless, still odd for it to snap right there where they nearly touch. The whole time the truck was off cause I was on a hill and it would roll back, so my daughter is gettin cold and screaming at me. So now I can't set my e-brake and I have to get it replaced. Anyone know how much they cost and how hard it is to do yourself??? I'm more of an engine guy, not a brake guy, so I have no idea how to fix this. Money is tight as is, so I don't wanna go to a shop and have to dump my pockets out for them to do it.

Depends on what you like to do. I've only been out once since I moved here in Nov., but I have a family, so I don't care to go out to bars and clubs much anymore. I wish it would snow though so I could do some snow drifting.

I work for Tri-State Security in South Dakota. The place I'm actually at, I really dunno what they even do. It's just an assload of computers. They don't tell us specifics about what goes on there. We just check for alarms and watch the cameras. That's my schedual every week too. I get time and a half for holidays and overtime.

I know the Mmats juggernaut 18s were deathmatch champs 3 or 4 years in a row, so they can take a beatin and keep goin. But everyone else was right, it does depend on the install. You could have the "best" sub out there, but you put it in a bad box and you'll have crap.

Remember the hot rods from the 60's that had the blue dot tail lights??? I had some of those on my 70 Chevy C-10. Looked real nice too, anyways. I re-wired the tail lights and added a license plate light. Well about 4:30am on post, I got pulled over for a tail light being out. I just kicked the side of the truck and it came back on. Then one of the MPs noticed the blue dot and tried to give me a ticket for that. The other guy just told him to forget it and for me to have a nice day.
