PERFECT thanks pstone and expo ) exactly waht i needed and that IS the smae chart i was looking at!! my dad was like "Matt, listen, it's not seeing a load so it won't work!" obviously this was in the car and he hadn't seen the chart, so now I know since it has the OHMS in it i'm fine yeah i just want to do it right the 1st time!! so i turn the bass knob ALL THE WAYUP then set the gain, so if i want less bass i turn the knob down, and it won't clip if i turn it up? cool cool!! thanks so much guys

yes sir exactly. i don't have the amp yet - i'm asking this because the amp should come tues or wed so i want to know how to set the gains if the amp isn't seeing a load (beacuse speakers are unhooked) iis it still correct to use that chart? 34 votls ac for ~1200 watts RMS @ 1 ohm? Thanks expo ...

i know they take into account the IMPEDENCE but i mean no LOAD on the amp .. you know what im saying? sorry if this is confusing

OKay so I read through allll the gain topics thouroughly (SP) my question is, my dad is an electrical engineer and he "huh'd?" at the way I explained it to him. it says use a dMM on AC volts .... unhook the sub and set it to, for me , 34 volts for around 1200 watts at 1 ohm. but there isno load on the amp with the speaker unhooked - how does that work? is this alread taken in account in that big chart of AC volts and wattages at what impedence that is on the forum? thx hope this made sense

thanks - but which inputs/outputs ? Are you saying it has 1 slot input of 1/0 and 4 slots of 4 gauge and 2 slots of 1/0 gauge output? doesn't look that big but i could be wrong thx for the clarifaction

shit bro isn't your wood mounting holes getting reallllllllllll loose? like from taking the sub out so many times unless you mean the sub and the enclosure together

1st check alllllll your wiring and connectinos to your amp, fusing, shorts, crimps in the wire, etc ..... then use a DMM and check your power and remote wires to make sure its good thennnnnnn theres a chance your amp went bad my .02

in my experience hushmat works very well - but idk how much they go for in rolls, i've only bought in individual sq feet from a shop that probably cut it from the roll they don't smell either GL!

there are many threads about this but the best way would be to seal it off firing forward and fold your seats down. otherwise, up against eh rear seats rear firing and seats down. but it prob wont' get AS loud ... and your trunk'll rattle unless u go w/ option A its nto thatttttttttt bad tho
