When this thing is all done, it will have a smoked plexi cover over the top of the VU-Din. It will also be painted from the back side to only allow the LED's to shine through. You will see.

just sorta proves that no matter what type of technology the new amps are coming out with, knowing what is IN FRONT of the amp is just as important as anything else. Matter of fact it's probably the most important piece of information you should know when setting gains. Hence the other MAIN reason you cannot use a Multimeter (DMM) to set gains (properly). I mean you can use your right toe to set gains, but "properly" is a different story. and that LOC - VERY typical of most cheap LOC's. You would be lucky to get 1 clean volt out of some of the most common ones out there that people use. You wouldn't know that without a DD-1 or expensive scope.

The DC Audio Astrovan has: 12 DC Audio XLm2 12s , 4 DC Audio 9.0 amps, 2 Mechman Elite 370 alts, 16 XS power D1600 Batteries and A LOT of Sky High Car Audio Cable. This vehicle is a BEAST! I am actually at the helm this time giving myself a demo Keep in mind, where i am sitting is loud, but not as loud as the other side, especially with the window sealed up. It is several db less on the driver side than the bass "trap" on the passenger side. That is why I can sit there like that. (in case you are wondering). Also, right before i got there he broke that window out so we couldn't even close it if we wanted to LOL!

even on some of the pics i took today, you can see the peeling. It isn't done healing yet. But i had to post some pics as it is starting to really look good IMO

they never look good just "lined" out. My best tattoo's looked like shit until he spent hours shading them thanks!!!

the next few pics are of it still fresh and RED...not healed at all. This is just a few days shy of 2 weeks healing. I think it will look even better in a week or two and as it becomes completely healed and done. 2 week mark is actually done but for me they start looking real good after a month or so.

I have been wanting a fancy lion similar to the one on the side of a Lowenbrau beer bottle for a long time. It is called a "Heraldic" lion. There is all types but i really like the look of it. I am a Leo so Lion's are always a good choice. I have no tattoo's on my lower body so i figured it was time. Rather than do a small one on my upper body i went with a decent sized one on my right calf. Pain during: 8 out of 10. Pain after: 9 out of 10. It just throbs for a few days after you get home. I have THOUSANDS of dollars in art on me and i don't remember any of them throbbing 2 days later. Plus it was hard to walk with that skin stretching. But you get over it and all is well. This is 2, 2 hour sessions. One for line work, one for shading. As soon as i can come up with more stuff that i want, i will be tying in to this and "turning the corner" (going all the way around). thanks a LOT to my friend and one of my favorite artists Bill Liberty for the fine work.

Remember, just because i didn't tap out of other vehicles does NOT make them any less loud or incredible. Anything over 158db is getting hard to sit in. 160db is getting real hard....and around a 162 is as much as i can take. At least on the "hot seat" side. Keep in mind, where the driver is sitting, is more than likely several DB less than where i am sitting. That is why he can sit there like that. (in case you are wondering).

Just to let everyone know, the search function is working again! We have some other slight issues that need work but i am waiting for a much larger update to get all of that handled. IPB Power board (this forum software) has the newest version (4.0) in beta right now and i have full intentions on upgrading this place as soon as the full version drops. There are a lot of features i want to add but it will be a waste of time and money to have all of that work done just to have the new version ruin all of it as some stuff simply won't be compatible any more. In the 8.5 years this forum has been online, every time we get to the point of a full upgraded forum, the bugs, the bots and other annoying stuff starts to happen. But trust me, as soon as the new version is available we are going to make this place better than ever! SOTM is going to come back soon too! anyhow, for now, the search engine is fixed thanks for your patience in the matter!
