  1. this ISF only has a pair of headers. No NOS. I think his exhaust is done too. I am sure there are plenty of video's of it being the other way around but i'm just saying don't underestimate and don't assume. You never know.
  2. actually mid 12's are pretty standard STOCK and 13's are standard when the driver messes up (or doesn't have much experience). I would probably do 13's with my 300lb system, my 235lb body and my lack of experience. It don't need perfect conditions just needs a driver that knows when to take off and when to shift. Mid 11's are more rare but like i said, headers and a shot of NOS and it isn't so rare any more. bet tires would get you a bit more. Slicks and cool day do wonders. i would rather not have slicks on my daily driver. But i have 285's so there is a lot more meat than people think.
  3. sounds like fun but i have (again) a 300lb sound system and a 235 lb body....i probably wouldn't do as good as someone who is at the strip every week and serious about it. It would be fun to try a few times but i really am not much into racing. It's fun to hit the NOS though and feel the kick once in a while.
  4. seriously lol -not sure why a full blown fiberglassed 2 door race car is being compared to a car like mine other than Ya, but its the right C4. 11.50's @ 120 on a 20 year old motor that still gets nods.... I'll take it. Besides, I don't make baller bank anymore. I don't live my life a quarter mile at a time. But in those 11 seconds or less nothing matters, I'm free. No wife, no kids, no mortgage.... FREE!!!!!!!! my car does mid 12's stock and is known to do very low 11's on headers and a small shot of NOS. I know a vette is a fullly fiberglassed body, 2 door race car but face it, most of them except some of the higher end models don't want none of the 4 door. Now only imagine if the IS-F was tunable...which it is not. but beside the point, who gives a fuck about a vette and what does that have to do with this post? smh. I agree, all I asked was who one. Cause as a corvette owner I can't tell one Lexus from another or a Toyota. It's just not my thing. My reference to corvettes had nothing to do with performance. You were the one who brought up how they get bitch slapped. I never said anything negative. Shit, I don't care if someone drives a 9 sec yugo or a 20 sec porsche you came in with your smart ass Toyota comment...and it's true, people like you think your the shit with your cool vette and then sometimes learn the hard way. And if you can't tell the difference between an ISF and a standard toyota you are a true smart ass. You know why i don't like vettes? sure they are fast but they are ugly as fuck (imo). To each their own.

  6. for real. lol god damn... this is Lexus ISF vs IS350 thread...not "my dick is bigger, i have a (enter random car that you like better)" Yes, we know a full fiberglass body 2 door race car is about as fast as my 4 door and yes some are faster. But some ISF's are faster than vettes...but really, who cares?

  8. seen many a vette be embarrassed by a "toyota" like these. Better have the big boy version if you gonna talk some shit. Don't mess around and get bitch slapped by a 4-door.
  9. The guy with the IS-F only has an Injen intake with heat wrap, cat and muffler delete for "mods" I don't know exactly what that IS350 has. The 350 is a little beast STOCK so i thought it would be a little closer. Anyway check out this video if your curious what the diff between the two car's is (besides the V8 of course) "I ended up running 12.56 at 112....not too bad.....he ran a 13.5 not sure of his trap speed."
  10. Congrats to my friend Ray West of Sonus Car Audio - for his contribution to this build! check out a quick walk around. It sounded as good as it looked too!
  11. Too far. LOL - Same reason you don't see Cali plates there that you don't see Florida plates here. So long of a drive, it might as well be in Africa
  12. did you end up at the Piranha club? hahah
  13. that thing is seriously flexing that truck next to it Good shit!! and is that an old Crown Vic Police Interceptor? I don't know why but something about those things i like
  14. Of course i already know....but there was a time i didn't and i bet a lot of you don't. Watch this and you will!
  15. I saw this at the bassheads meet in Vegas last week....i liked it a lot so i decided to take a quick little video! In-dash Lenovo 11s man, i feel bad, but i forget his name. I know he is a member here so if you see this bro, speak up! BTW, i love the install!
  16. here is a quick instagram video clip until my YT video is ready...just to give you an idea how much lift it actually has. http://instagram.com/p/x7nzYxEt37/?modal=true oh and hit the follow button too
  17. It's DONE!!! More pictures below and a 9 minute video of the install uploading to youtube right now. Please make sure you watch it because dammit that was a lot of work!! even more work to film everything. thanks! :D this morning i was faced with this...but nothing a cup of coffee and some determination can't fix.
  18. Was kinda wondering what caused that. Were those the brackets originally for the shocks, and just weren't built to handle the full load of the vehicle? Or all the weight from the audio in the back? Kinda a sobering moment in any case. no, they are actually bag brackets and are welded to the frame. The original welds held fine so that is a good thing. The other side is fine. Shit happens i guess.
  19. 4 SMD v2 18" woofers shipped yesterday. On the way! Just sayin'. lol

  20. Finally i got to hear Brent's BADASS Sound System! Check out my Walk Around/Demo here
  21. hey bro, if you know me, i was NEVER handed anything, not even my lift. I spent 25 years on my back, in the gutter, under jacks and jack stands. And get this, ive only owned a real floor jack since like the year 2000 maybe a little earlier than that but not much earlier haha. I have changed trannys using scissor jacks, on my back, in the street more than a few times. I remember having like 5 of them because i hit up the local "pick and pull" and scored some from the wrecking yard. I thought i was rich because i had extra STOCK scissor jacks from those boneyard cars to get my job done. even my very first car blew the tranny and knowing NOTHING i changed it out in the street. Pops didn't want no oil on his driveway. Yes, at 16 i was swapping tranny's and even my engine. It was either that or i had no ride. Nobody gave me shit. I learned though....kids nowadays (i admit, even mine) get to call AAA and have pops help them get it fixed. It's ok i feel like i sacrificed so my kids don't have to suffer like i did. I don't spoil them, i teach them.....but they still got it way easier.
  22. i think it's like 15 or 16 per actual post. So post 15, then hit enter. Then post again (in the same topic) with 15 or less.....repeat till done. it might be 18 or 20 i'm not 100% sure but it's somewhere in there. I always stop at 15/16 though.
  23. the story of my life bro. most of my best work on a lot of my projects never gets seen because it is under something else. Oh well at least i know subconsciously that i did it right even if nobody know's
