  1. I don't need to return unwarranted punches.
  2. true, new subs will smell, but make sure you are NOT clipping, and do you have bass boost on?
  3. honestly that's the first I have heard someone say they don't like the CVT...ALL the other feedback has ALL been positive...
  4. did you get the 14.1 off a car website with your car sepcs? if so, remember, when you give us these measurements, make sure this box can FIT into your trunk opening.
  5. yep, we'll need measurements to give accurate responses.
  6. as longa s you have intenally 3.25 cu ft, and wnat it tuned to 40hz, your fine, you need what, port length?
  7. HI back at ya all! Miss ya all, hope to see you this year, somewhere.
  8. I doubt it.......................... j/k Hey Rusty
  9. be sure, if it has one, to have the SSF on, set the gain with a DMM, check and double check, listen for problems since you are running that much power, ported, daily...
  10. a good simple first question.....how do you plan to install these, sealed or ported?
  11. support those, whom support the sport DC
  12. if you daisy chain or strap your amps, yes, it 'should' work...
  13. well that's a tad TOOOOOOOOO vague....like saying any woofer had blowing issues, without taking enclosure, power, voltage, etc into the equation.... done right, no, they do not have issues, playing too much power, clipping, below tuning, they can blow...........like any other subwoofer.
  14. bad listings then, there will never be a ZX2500 do 5000, or even 7000 watts...
  15. actually, we DO recone subs, but when someone sends one in for warranty, they get another brand new one, and WE recone the sub. But we do not sell recone kits direct.
  16. the L7's will play from 18hz, to 28hz depending on size...just how 'low' do you mean?
  17. when new, glue smell can be common. After break in is done, and you still smell coil, re-adjust and lower gains.
  18. on certain installs, I agree, and dis-agree. Back in the day, it was good to see huge 'high-end' installers compete for the HUGE SQ awards head to head. Sometimes it was round, sometimes it was square.
  19. Xmech, as long as the driver stays within 'mechanical limits' whether round or square, will last and product about the same. There isn't any 'internal problems' with the X woofers, other than it took longer to get the new revised ones in, but we see hige improvments on the new 07 X cones.
  20. ah, but Xmax is not everything, remeber the Strokers? Plus, with the T-cut top plate on the L7's and L5's, the Xmax 'rating' is far under what it really has. Usable throw, you need power, power needs current,etc,etc...
