  1. seems to be a decent budget, remember, you get what you pay for so look for a good reputable amp that will do good power into 1 ohm. Properly setup, gains set with a DMM, ported with a SSF, IMHO, the woofers will last a long time. Usually when people play below tuing, max gains and or bass boost, sending clipped signal or just overpowering subs, is when they fail. Then they blame the driver, but not their ignorance.
  2. nice, awesome to see a manufacture go see Steve personally. Props Tony! Steve, we need pics!!!!!!!
  3. they are no more easy to blow than any other woofer. Build accordingly, power accordingly, they will do fine, even exceeding RMS power.
  4. we should ahve some being used at USACi finals next weekend in Omaha...
  5. Marketing....it worked... But i agree, even I was like STFU!
  6. LOL....just didn't make it to SEMA to see the new vid, heard it took alot of time to make it tho....
  7. first time I have seen the vid myself...
  8. 750 watts max, .88 sealed...L7's started in 2000
  9. ever think of a Kicker SX7004? All the DSP you'll need to setup any EQ, and great clean power...
  10. Scotty, question....how many peas are in a pod? j/k bro....good to see ya
  11. well i've seen them, and they look like good ole ZX1500's, have you seen them before? If not, I can try to help find a pic if you want?
  12. depends on power. I have seen drop in's on cars, pulling woofer "X" out, they go up .3 to .5 with L7, drop an L5 in go up over 1.0 db....depends on power, smaller power, like 1000 per sub, sometimes the L5 will be louder than the L7. the L5 is more effecient and will have a faster imp rise over an L7, when ported, and higher power/lower impedance setup.
  13. $350, per amp, shipped to the UK as well?
  14. actually there are a TON of people using the L5's ...don't know where you got logic likewise they don't?? anyway, sounds like you'd like more space back, and the SSD's would do the job nicely....you may loose some output, but you will still have great perfornace and way more space avaialble. <dang, doing Shawns job! >
  15. Dave, dave, working for RF, would expect nothing but this kind of response...how do you know what breaks via Kicker?
