  1. You could Y split it, I don't know if it will change anything in quality, someone said that might change your voltage. If that is the case get a processor. I have seen you say the same thing many times so far, and not really ask any specific questions either. What Ohms are the speakers to, that would help figure out how to wire them up to the amp.
  2. Did someone really just say bass is louder with windows open? I don't know much about car audio but I know about spl.

  4. Most amps if you look them up will tell you. "most amps" is not a good answer, there are thousands upon thousands of amps all doing different and in most cases like things, but for a individual one just look it up, and half the time they will say on the amps.
  5. Looks like the sub is hitten the seat, nevertheless it's sick.
  6. You know how much that is going to be, I remember when I looked up batteries the other day somehow I found out prices, but now I can't figure it out.
  7. Ya, I rewired back they are completely fine now, amp doesn't even get warm.
  8. 91 honda civic Hatchback. I don't know a damned thing about batteries so my first concern is since I am just over 1500 watts would that cause any type of problems, or if I have a good amp would that keep it in good standings.
  9. K well if they are only stable at 4 ohms, looks like I can only run them in series, I am going to go out later and retune my amp and see how it runs. If not I will put back to 8 Ohms.
  10. The amp is a Jensen XA 6040Lx, it's a weird amp, can run 4,3,2 channels. I have it bridged to 2 channels and like I said before the sub wire is Parallel + to + and - to -.
  11. I didn't check with a dmm, but I am running them parallel and they are DVC 4 Ohm drivers, so with the math done they are at 2 Ohms.
  12. Well previously when wired as 8 Ohms, no it didn't clip. I didn't reset my gains when switching to 2 Ohms, although I did reset them to 0 later on and I still had all the same effects just quieter.
  13. Haha, I need batteries for mine, and I'll record the rest of its life and how long it takes for it to go. I took 2 of my dads stock truck speakers, we just replaced them the other day. Wired them to my amp left and right, full tilt and smoked in a second, and some how reset my amp lol
  14. I don't know why but I am guessing this just means my amp can't run stable at 2 ohms. I rewired my subs to go from series 8 Ohm to parallel 2 Ohm, Although I did leave the gain in the same place, even though previous on 8 Ohms I felt the subs could go way harder than they could. My amp got VERY hot, I have touched my amp before while tuneing my amp and pounding nonstop and just playing with it for minutes on end and never felt it get warn until now. When I would listen to songs that would wang my car before, I couldn't even get it to hit as hard as it was before it would sound like it is bottoming out, or just sounding shitty.
  15. I am going to be having a 2 amp system consisting of a RF T600-4 and a T1000-1bdCP. I know XS has batteries to run a 1500 watt system, but is that safe running a just slightly higher powered system than the battery can run.
  16. I am not retarded but I just had a hard time finding things on your site. I have a 91' civic hatchback, everything is stock. When I get my system I am most likely going to have a 1600 watt system. So I am most likely going to get a XS battery that can support a 1500 watt system or more, but what alternator, if any you have. would best suite that because I am sure a 270 amp alternator that is $400 is a bit overkill for 1 battery.
  17. Haha, I blew up like 5 speakers today, I wired them to my shitty jensen amp amp just blasted them. I put a old ass pioneer 6x9 playing hood run down without a subsonic filter and no filters running. I put it to fill tilt playing hood run down, still havent blown them to a stop but its blown alright. give pioneer the + for having a speaker that just wont die.
  18. What are you trying to do, you need to explain more on what you are talking about.
  19. Oh well, if your not looking for the charger function, does that HU come with a aux port? I wasn't looking to be an ass eclipse, he never said until now he wasn't looking for charge so I was throwing that out there because that's what I did. I used my usb port, but I have a 3rd gen nano, now that my usb hub on my HU doesn't work, I have a cigerette charger plugged to my ipod and the ipod plugged through a aux, and works fine.
  20. Or you can get a HU with a usb port, and set it to run through your ipod, and problem solved, just use a normal Ipod cable and connect your ipod right the front of your HU and you don't have to spend any extra money time or effort to achieve what you are looking for. Or buy a $10 ciggerete charger for your ipod.
  21. I am guessing they will sound as good as any other sized speaker, but they are made to be water resistant, so you can put on motor cycles or outside where water will be present.
  22. Thanks for the heads up to on the Iraggi, also a suggestion, loose the xplod amps man, worst out there. If anything I am sure you can find some same priced amps on the net that work way better, and yeah I really don't think you can fit 2 18"s into a charger trunk, 2 15"s or 1 18" FI with 2Kw+ would do you some good vibrations.
  23. I don't know what phase is, but would it be any difference if you were to take a 2channel amp, with a dual voice coil sub, and put the left (-)(+) on one coil and right (-)(+) on the other, what would happen.
