  1. Is everyone still pretty backed up? Damn, that's kinda why I waited a lil while to get one, oh well. Gotta have it!
  2. So today I am finally ready to drop a few dollars on a DD1, but I was just wondering WHERE do I buy it from? Got money, and I'm ready for clean signal! Also, is there just one place to order it, or are there options? Thanks for your help guys n girls! EDIT: I just ordered mine from West Coast Car Audio!
  3. I kinda think so too, it's really close, and after rise and other variables, I thought it may just work. I gotta build a new box anyway, so I may just try it and see. It is a beastly little amp, for a 1K. 1244 RMS on the "Birthsheet" If anything, it should go into protect b4 it fries, I WOULD THINK. I know, if it does fry, it will be my fault.
  4. Okay, cool. Thanks for all the help guys. I don't think I want to burn up $300+ just to find out. So I think I'll just post it for sale and buy a different one. Thanks again for all the help.
  5. So in other words, I'll just have to try it and see? If not, it's no biggie, I'm gonna get a different amp for em anyway, prob a DC 2K.
  6. Okay, so my question is this. Kicker amps are only good down to 2 ohm, right? So, is that before rise, or after? What I'm getting at is this. I have 3 12" Solo L5's, they are D2 ohm, so I could rum the subs parallel, voice coils in series, for a 1.33 ohm load. Which should be OVER 2 ohm after rise, if I am not mistaken. So will my Kicker ZX1000.1 go into protect if I try to do this, or is there a chance it may work? Or mess stuff up? I know trial and error is probably my only way of knowing for sure, I was just hoping someone might already know whats up. Thanks for your time!
  7. Hmm, I have seen a single Solo X 18 on over 5K RMS, and it handled it pretty damn good! I think it REALLY depends on the setup and install. But your rt, since he is a beginner, 2500 watts w/be better for him.
  8. I have NO PROOF of this, so it is just a story. But a true one, none the less. So, last night I was ridding around looking for some females to spend the evening with, and giving some demos. I know my car is not that loud, but around here, it is one of the loudest. Anyway, a couple of guys I know showed up, one wanted the other to hear my system. So of course I jammed him out! But after about 45 seconds at full tilt playing one of the newest Gucci songs, (On Some Other Shit - Free Bricks) This dude jumps out of my car and starts puking! Idk if he was already sick, or what. But that shit was slammin REALLY hard, and he definitely got sick. He blammed it all on the bass, said he has never heard shit that loud! Damn I wish I would have had my camera going! So, anyone else have a similar experience to share?
  9. Please vote for Purplehaze and the "Kickin' Cruiser"for SOTM!

  10. Hey man, let me know how that works out for ya, I am very interested in doing a similar setup, but I was told Level 5's don't work well in a bandpass, or sealed box. Also, which side of the sub will be the sealed, and which will be ported? Not sure that it would make any difference, but I would think if the motor side was the ported side, that would help cool the sub? Like I said, I'm not real sure, just imo.
  11. Really? I'll have to check that out! I was looking into doing a lvl5 4th order, but was told they (the subs) dont like it very well.
  12. So, I'm just wondering if you have had any problems running those Level 5's in a 4th order? They seemed to be preforming well, just wondering if they lasted like that? Thanks
  13. Haha. you guys still use screws! You guys are way behind!!! I just glue my subs to the box!
  14. Why comment if you have nothing to add?? To troll? They are called MAC, or ATM cards, NOT credit cards... ^^THIS X2^^^ Please don't waste space in my thread. I am serious, I'm about to spend some cash. And no shit smart-ass, yeah I heard of a bank. They also deal w/this white and green stuff, it's called cash. And besides, where I am from, cash is better than credit.
  15. I am looking for prices on an 18" level 5, also possibly interested in a DC 3.5K or DC 5K. Oh and I am serious, not just a dreaming teen. Thank you!!!
