dude,he would need at least 30" one way, and 15" another...i believe 38"x26" is ample enough for two subs...he didn't say they had to be side by side. EDIT: Not trying to sound like an ass...i just don't understand how you are figuring there isn't enough room. -

First of all, make sure that all your wires carrying power, like your remote, power wire, etc are on the completely opposite side of the car from your wires carrying an audio signal, such as RCA's. Then I would move the ground from the strut tower, to say, drill a hole in the floor of your trunk and ground it to the frame. And make sure your ground wire for your amp is just as big, or bigger than your power wire. Never compromise on a ground. -
Mother of two dies in a shootout, and one other officer wounded. Its amazing what this world is coming to, and how dumb people can be. Married mother of two killed without a chance to even defend herself. And please, to all you trolls, this is a subject close to the heart for alot of us. Dont be stupid with your comments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAjOIn7Mtc4

Help deciding capacitor or battery
Bakerman replied to Jesus805's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
The blue tops are for deep cycle. The yellow tops are made for audio, video, lighting, etc. The red tops are just for normal starting. But I have redtops under the hood, and on the system. I used blue tops on my boat. I guess no real diff b/w the red and yellow unless you have insane power, but then you wouldn't use optima anyways...i just suggest optima b/c they are only $150 - $200 bucks, and you can easily find them in your local parts store if something goes wrong at the wrong time, unlike your batcap, xs, kinetic, etc. -
Help deciding capacitor or battery

First of all, burn the capacitor...they suck ass. Then follow these instructions on the video. Next, if you dont have money for a kinetic or xs, go with an optima yellow top. -

Will it bolt up where the stock alt goes? -
Im looking for a 300amp alternator for my 1997 chevy tahoe. I need one that matches up to the factory bolting, b/c i have no way to fabricate any new ones at the moment. And I would like it sprayed white...no specific white in particular. What kinda price would I be looking at?

What did you do man? -
Here's the deal. I've never been one to go all out on my mid drivers and tweeters. But with my new build, I'm going for sound quality. Obviously my Alpine head unit will not have enough power to push mids and highs effectively against the bass I will have. Does anyone know a good amp and speaker setup that is good on a budget? I have a Tahoe, and I am gonna be running a 5.25" mid drivers in the front doors, and a 1" tweeter in the front doors. The rear doors will have a 5.25" speaker, with the built in tweeter with it. And for the very rear, it holds two 3x6 speakers. But I doubt I will need to even have these though because of the subs being in the rear. So essentially, it will be 4 5.25" mid speakers, and two 1" tweeters. Do you think this is a good idea, or should I go with 4 tweeters, or all 6 speakers? And what kind of amp would I need to push all of this without distortion? And remember, this is on a budget. Thanks for your help. And FYI in advanced, I have done research, and I do have some ideas of what I want...this post is just to get ideas from you guys.

It took me a few times looking at it to make the connection, which is why i never said anything about it before. But I made it, and I was like OMFG, I knew i recogninzed that from somewhere!
