  2. If you have enough room above the box then port up. If not then port forward with the port at the top of the box.
  3. I love doing builds. Doesn't matter if I never get to hear them. Most of the boxes I build are for a local shop anyways & I never do get to actually hear them play. I just love building setups. I also compete regularly but seriously have more fun doing the build than pulling in the lanes & popping off a burp. Bass Race is more my thing to have fun competing. It doesn't take a big setup for that though so not as much fun in the build.

  5. Don't get the spiral wire. That stuff is a pain to work with regardless of what brand it is. I will never use the spiral wire ever again.

  8. Set the lpf all the way up and the subsonic, phase, & bass boost all the way down. That will allow full signal through to make sure it's not a setting issue.

  10. So you're sure everything is wired correctly. Verified impedance with a multimeter? What is you're ac voltage output? The next thing I recommend to try is use the amps separate, un-strapped. Run both +s & -s from each sub to each amp so that the coils on each sub are paralleled to each amp.
  11. I don't see any speaker wires connected to the + terminals on your amps. Also the - terminals should have jumpers from one amp to the other. Like this.
  12. They are big car shows but not the stereo part. He does use a Term Lab but puts the meter in the kick panel or port.
  13. If your dual 1ohm subs are wired like this and you strap the amps to them then each amp will see 0.5 ohm. I'm thinking you have each amp @ 2ohm cause I guarantee you'll notice a huge difference from a single amp @ 1ohm and a pair strapped @ 0.5 each.
  14. The diagram you posted is for dual 2ohm subs. If you have dual 1ohm subs then you can't strap the amps @ 2ohms.
  15. I can't stand that guy. Won't ever go back to one of his events. The guy was a total douche insisting everything we were doing was wrong. He acted like a total know it all who really knew nothing. I laughed it off but was too annoying to deal with anymore.
  16. Hold the basket with the motor slightly angled so that it's weight is pulling down on the basket. Then hit the basket upwards with a rubber mallet.
  17. In that case it's not a refurb. Send an email & Jacob will get you straightened out.
