I just went on the hunt to see if I could find any microwaves in my house. So far I was able to dig out 2. Sadly all of my microwaves are not made by DC, but its the same thing anyways.

It'd be nice to go grocery shopping again. That just gave me an idea and a simple solution to fix this problem. Put the amps inside Faraday cages!!!

by all means, this 4 channel for the subs, and the hammered ring terminals is just for lulz. just getting curious and wanted to hear something from it to see if it even plays anything at all.

No, I dont, I have good wire, but terminals and fuses come tomorrow or friday I think. I almost forgot, pwk style!

I have no fuses, no ring terminals no way to connect the power wires to my batteries or alts. but i have subwooooooooofers on a 4channel that I could rig in to get a listen to it with. So thats what I did. LOL

Whoops, almost forgot this picture... People say smashing a ring terminal flat with a hammer is a fine crimp, so I unsoldered some old ring terminals off some scrap wire and did just that! These will link up 2 batteries that will power the 4 channel... Gotta keep that hammer flat ring terminal special going to match the 4gauge wires!!!

Speaker wire came today. Love the stickers on the box, fragile, delicate instruments. Box all smashed up! LMAO Oh well the wire is fine! Getting wire cut to matching lengths Wiring the wall First 2 Sundown SA-18s in 3 Sundown SA-18s in all 4 Sundown SA-18s in put a fresh battery in my SMD IM-SG to do a little testing Powered from the IM-SG only, no amps, woofers all wired in parallel @ 0.5 ohms. Peak was high at 83hz, dunno whats up with that, thinking it is because thats where the woofers are loudest or most effiecent at on such little power, maybe its a fluke. Not really sure. LOL So its time to test with a 4channel a lil bit. Found some scrap Db Link and Stinger Pro 4gauge wire in my bin that was removed from another persons car, lovely hammered down ring terminal crimps! Got the amp mounted Used the SMD DD-1+ and CC-1 to tune the 4channel amp

Ready to load woofers possibly tomorrow to do a little testing if all goes good. Couple more pics: It was raining out again but had to get something done at least... Needed a router bit with a 3inch cutting depth, or a narrower shank to plunge it farther to give more depth.. Tried to make one. Put it in the router for a test fire. Turned the router on, plugged it into an extension cord which I then plugged in at an outside outlet to take shelter just in case. First test fire it shot straight out the router and into the wall. Figured it wasnt tight enough so I tightened it more, and this is what happened........ Got the majority of glue cleaned up that oozed out as well.

ha.. I guess I take more pics of pointless stuff it looks like I did more today than I really did. LOL Figured since I forgot to take pics on bolting the shell to the wall. Wont ever be seen unless you can get it apart layer by layer But like I said thats the way I like it, hidden! Nothing really special about the tools, Just simple stuff. I know some people spend big bucks on a bit that will drill and countersink at the same time.

Getting closer to putting woofers in for a small test.. Countersinking the 6inch bolt heads. There will be a 5th layer that goes over the entire front, but wont happen until the port is built, tested, tuned, rebuilt, retested, retuned, etc. I just cant stand bolt heads, nuts, or any other visible thing like threaded rod being seen and noticeable for all to see. Looks ghetto and cheap. Just my opinion!

No it cant, unless you trim the hell out of the wire. 12 gauge fits, 10gauge may fit with a little trimming from what I recall.

^^^^ Thanks guys!! Small update, other baffle is in. Did a couple things different, and it made it a whole lot easier! Pretty much at a stand still until I get a little more angle iron tonight or tomorrow for the front 2 pieces to seal off the chambers. Once those are in, and I get my speaker wire, the woofers can go in for a test without the front loading wall, so I can start to work on the front port and test and tune. Probably just wire the four 18s to a 4channel amp off 1 battery since I have no ring terminals to link the rear batteries together, nor no fuses for my 18 fuse holders.. I forget things way to damn much and it gets annoying!

Not much done today, Got 134 holes drilled in the angle iron. Got 1 baffle in as well. Tomorrow I will do the other baffle.

Test fitting the assembled baffles in the truck, they are just loose sitting inside and not secured (same with the front walls). Getting some angle iron cut to length for the baffles Now its time to drill a lot of damn holes

Time to start working on the baffles. This first piece will be the template of the others to come. Didnt take a lot of pictures, just repeating that same process over and over. test fitting inside the wall also picked up some hardware to bolt the baffles in and all out of wood once again.. ruff cut wood for the baffles that will be routered out with a flush trim bit to match the first piece. had no template tape so I got some carpet tape, works ok just sticks way too well! 6 out of the 8 baffles made trying to pry them apart was fun... getting holes lined up for speaker holes First couple sets of holes cut (flush and actual woofer cutout), the other 4 pieces will just be copied with the router and a flush trim bit The gunk that builds up on a router bit and bearing after routing out a panel with glue oozing out of it, hence what the CMT Orange stuff is for which easily removes the gunk. Baffles done Did some finish sanding to remove the excessive glue Rounded over the inside speaker holes.
