  1. So, my plan is to aim my mids at the opposite passenger, and putting the tweets in the A pillar. Where should I aim the tweeters then? Opposite passenger? Reflected off windshield at opposite passenger? Aimed at each other? Or aimed at the respective passenger (ie left tweeter aimed at drivers seat)
  2. Basically, build like meade. Haha. Read all his builds and learn what you can from them.

    Pstone11

Here's a nomination for pstone's burban build. That bish is real loud and the install is super clean. The vinyl work is awesome. heres a link: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=4689
  4. x2!! It took forever to get places sometimes!
  5. prolly just wired em in parallel, using the crossover inputs.
  6. I know the feeling...I'm sorta taking my time on my box so that the carpet will get here just as I finish the box. And I'm about to order comps! So that's more waiting! Gahh
  7. sounds good to me! either that or a t1000bd or t1500bd
  8. Fi says if you're planning on putting 2000 watts or more, to get a BTL. I wouldn't run more than 1600-1700w to a loaded BL
  9. I use rosin core flux to do my soldering. It flows across the wire a lot better.
  10. us amps is a FAR better choice than hifonics. they make some of the best amps out there. if you can afford it, get it.
  11. Nah I needed one of these: ^^^ that's the one from parts express. This is the one from knukonceptz. it's literally the same terminal, even the markings on the plastic cover are the same. So it matches the one I already have. srry for hijacking thread. continue.
  12. You mentioned you didn't really know what frequency is was tuned to. If you built it to kicker's specs, It's probably tuned at 38-39 hz.
  13. Normally i just use RE's calculator for port length. Everything else I do myself. I could do it myself, but RE's calculator is just faster to use. I've never really gotten along with WinISD. I ended up just doing the calculations myself, much easier.
  14. Buy them now. That's a screamin deal on a pair of real good subs.
  15. Steve brown did a car like that too, a civic i think. Looked insane!
  16. I just ordered one actually. For my red top under the hood. I realized that Parts Express has the exact same battery terminals as KnuKonceptz offers, but for only $4.50 instead of $12.00, so I bought one from there.
  17. Dont get extreme leads, only get universal if you think you'll want to change voice coil configuration later on, you can get p chamfer and cooling, DEFINATELY choose daily! not SPL! SPL does not mean "loud." it does, but SPL means that it does not play music well or sound good as a daily driver
  18. Gah I need a second battery too. But I'm going to wait for my negative battery terminal to get here so I can finish the big 3 and see if that cures my problem.
  19. Be careful with an Ed 9.1 on that SSD. 1300-1400 watts can blow an 800w sub quickly. I'd upgrade to a Q if you got the cash.
  20. Why does everyone think they can start off with a 16000 watt system??? People who are running BTL's know what the hell theyre doing. They've been at this for a long time and they can handle building a box tough enough to handle it, and know how to hook up and tune such a system. 4 BTL's is not a damn starter system. For your first system, stick with 1 or 2 type r's or something man. Geez. This kinda stuff pisses me off.
  21. That sounds interesting, I might be down for two. I'll PM you when I know for sure
  22. Ohh yea I get it. I was confused. I was planning on mounting my tweets with the mids in the door pod...Bad idea i take it? Should I go with the sail panel or a pillar instead? Or will it really not make that big of a difference?
  23. reflection? sorry, can you define that real quick?
  24. aw im flattered you picked my design. but yes its google sketchup. its not a sub box design program per se, I just used it to model the box up and see what it would look like. You still gotta do the math another way.
