Reread steves build on his current box. He talks about flush mounting and strength.

Both will add structural strength to it. Doubling should add a little more strength, but as long as the majority of the baffle is doubled, it's going to be a lot stronger.

2 4000's for sure. 4 2000's at 1.4 would give you around 7.5-8k, while 2 4's at .7 would give around 10k.

Yea my system only cost me a grand, but I went with a Rockford amp, so you should be able to outdo me haha....we'll see how you do with the box.

Never heard one personally, but from what I've heard a T2 has good everything: it gets low, loud, and it's clean. But hopefully someone else will bring in some more feedback.

Q and BL are real similar. Except different at the same time...Same power handling w/o options, but different specs that make the BL a better sub for SPL and the Q better for SQ.

what i do is drill a hole big enough to fit my flush router bit thru, and then cut the second baffle with that. I'm sure it's hard on the bit, but I'll pay $15 every 6 months for the convenience. -
Um the only two ways I can think of is to find amps that are strappable and put two together, or run an amp to each coil.....but that sounds like it could generate problems.

It'd be underpowered on a bxi2006. Id suggest a PA 3000db but you want to stick hifonics. Underpowering the 3200 watt goliath is a waste of that big xmax.

Damn those efficiencies are real high! Those can't be measured at 1w/1m. But yea go with the 1600w sub, grab a bxi2006 and a 1/0 wiring kit from knukonceptz and your golden!

Oh okay. Well then yea, I'm not real familiar with the hifonics subs. But I know you are haha just make sure you do the install clean and build/design the box nicely and whatever you do will sound good.

Hey. Here's what I would do. Buy a temp system...one solid 12 and an amp...wait (i know everyone hates that word) for the end of summer, and then build a muuch more badass system with 3 g's. Oh the possibilities...

They introduced the BL, if i understand this right, as an "in between" sub between the Q and the BTL. However, until you add options to the BL, the only real difference is the higher Fs, and a small difference in efficiency. The BL is the SPL version of the Q, with the option of upgrading it. If you're planning on building a clean but loud daily driver, go with the Q. The BL is definately geared more for competition setups.

Very easy. All you need is 10-15 feet of wire and a few ring terminals. 1) Pos Alt to Pos Bat 2) Neg Bat To Ground 3) Alternator/Engine to Ground No more voltage drops! And to help with lights dimming, you can upgrade the wiring going to the fuse box as well...that should take care of it.

It allows more power to flow...Basically, power goes from your alternator, to your battery, to your amp, to the ground, and back to the battery. Now, we all know running bigger wire allows more power to the amp, but without upgrading the other wires, it's an incomplete upgrade of that circuit. Upgrading it will allow power to flow more freely. All in all a good thing haha

Yea, an isolator is only necessary if you listen to your system with the car off. And, you can run the wires to the extra batteries straight to your alternator if you want.
