Well I have a 99 Blaszer and I brought it to my dads friends shop and we were all there trying to figure it out for a while and its not really practical. True Dual could be done but with the location of the gas tank and and makeing it fit the bends needed would have have been very restrictive and bad. To do single in dual out you would have remove the spare tire, So I did a Flowmaster Super 40 2.50" Pipeing out the back and its loud and has a nice deep rumble. I wanted to use the Super 44 but they dident have it, Supposibly they are pretty much the same but the 44 is just a tad louder.

Not a fan of Ford at all but I do like Ford Big Blocks. My brothers had a 460 in a 1975 F100 huge 39" Tires and 14" Lift and lots of work done and man was it insane. I know its not a 429 but you cant go wrong with the big block

I used to race acutally carpet cars on a 1/10 scale with foam tires, but im done with electric, Ive been just putzing around with my TMAXX 3.3 and my brother has the HPI Savage 5.9 Big Block and man they are fun.

I wouldent worry about your valves at all. Your not running open headers you have pipes running all the way to the back anyway. You obviously gained a nice sound and some power also. Backpressure is bad, What you need is scavengeing which im sure your trucks doing fine, pipes arent huge and even if you took off your cats you would still be fine, you just wouldent pass inspection and it would always keep the check engine light on. Backpressure is bad, Scavengeing less restrictive exhaust is the best.

My brother has an 87 442 with a worked 350 and its nuts. He wants to bore and stroke it to a 383 but we arent sure yet. Then his boss has a im not sure on the year but I think a 1972 RoadRunner, painted pumpkin orange, with an insane worked Chevy 572, bored .60 over, cant remember the stroke, but has about 10 mins of run time with a moderate tune, still need more work but it produced 1200hp and 1000 ft lbs of tq on 93 dynoed. Full out road cage, huge tires in the rear, not sure what they are going to find out, and 3" true dual open headers. This thing is an absolute monster and it sounds like a dragster/monster truck etc.

Is there any difference in performance and sound between the two? I know the 44 is black compared to the 40 but the insides arent the same. So just wondering if theres any difference or both are pretty much the same in sound and output.

Me personally Im like I said a big fan of straight back behind the car/truck. I have a single pipe 2.25" coming off the passager side right next to my trailer hitch and it looks great. Duel looks even better.

Real mature and typeing with out thinking, Please read before you say someone or others are dumbing up a forum or site. If you would have read what I wrote and thought about it I said I have experiences with after market exhaust systems on vehicles other than V8's also. Theres no comparison to the sound of a V8 or big block but other engine types can sound good with the right exhaust and not done to sound like a ricer with huge pipes and a coffee can.

I would do duel tips out the back as if you had a trailer hitch on each side of it. And for anyone who says the only thing that should have aftermarket exhaust is V8's is stupid. My Jeep Inline 6 with a FlowMaster 40 sounds amazeing. My buddies V6 2001 Explorer with duel super 40's sounds amazeing. It has a very deep rumble that sounds very throaty not like a far can on a civic. You can even get civics to sound good with the right exhaust and not ricey with the 10" exhaust and tips lol.

Anyone know what kind of exhaust most tuners run on their civics, lancers, etc. Ive seen Borla on them and they sound good, but not sure on what else they run. Im not talking like the retarded popping no exhaust bs that ones that are falling apart with no exhaust but for example im sure everyones seen the fast and furious. Cars that sound like that. I like FlowMaster for muscle cars and trucks but not sure what to recommend my friend for his civic other than borla.
