good news has come for me:D im getting my car back friday, and the build will continue. might be slow for the first bit kuz im spending like all my saved up money on getting it back and then next pay day i begin building more

heyy man i have the same door pannel (but for 91 escort gt). and i want to do that some time too, once i get my car back and some money to get speakers and every thing, ill keep watching this one to get some ideas. and where did you look to get a new lower insert?

thanks guys, unfortunately moose jaw saskatchewan sucks and doesnt have any shops with stereo other then pawn shops, walmart and canadian tire (what jokes). but i do not plan on living here much longer after high school so ill find a shop and try getting an internship. and every ones gotta agree with the hands on being so much better

well i was looking more to the one in toronto kuz i live in canada and its the closest. and i dont know who that is but i have heard about him through out this site

so i assume people have heard about this institute, i just wanted to know if any one has gone there and would also like to know what they think about the courses they have, and is the course really worth it for people who really wanna learn car audio installation

im gonna have to apologize to every one who has looked at this build of mine because i almost no longer own this car. very terrible money issues like not taking my new job i should have had because my car went to the mechanic and they basically bent me over and plowed me up the ass turned out pretty much all the wiring in my car that was done, like the command start (i never knew i had) screwed over every thing and my fuel pump was gone and the ignition was gone so they replaced all that and im basically broke now and cant pay to get it back sorry guys and gals, but this build is basically done for now:(

so i got a picture of the bottom of that plastic piece the rears go on and then a comparison of the old to new speakers and a side view of what the old one looks like on this is bottom bottom with old speaker new to old sizes side view of old one on thanks for the luck im trying to do the best i can for my first project:D and now my dream might come true of having loudest stereo in town with this new job

ya the rears you take out those plastic cover things and the speakers fit to the bottom and then drop that whole piece back in, and i thought the ones i got were the right size but no of course not why would they be. so now i need to do a little custom work to them and as for front speakers im pretty sure they are 5 1/4" in the doors and im not 100% sure whats happening there yet though, im still in a planning out zone kuz right now money is tight but right away with this new job i should be getting more money. and then it wont be as bad and as for material i know a guy who can get me every thing i need and can help me build it all pretty much. ill take a quick picture of how the rears are supposer to be and what they are now with the new speakers

also so every one knows i just stumbled apon a new job:D alot better then the one i have now. so instead of only like 7 hours a week making like 8.25 an hour (minimum) im making 12 an hour and 15 hours a week (and possible extra time very often) , only problem is its a 45 min drive for 3 days to work and back but not bad with my little car which is still pretty much all torn apart lol but after a month or so im buying a new car to get back and forth to work on those days so i can actually get progress on my car, and also with this job im really gonna upgrade on every thing:D. so dont you all start worrying about my work soon it will be starting up again and pics will be floating your way kuz every one loves pictures:)

sorry about the slow reply i didnt know any one checked it out, but ya those ones i did a little "paint.net" work on are for the rear speakers. and ya when i get time and money to buy new front speakers and make the kick pods they are gonna be fully sealed

just hit him with a base ball bat and its all good. just kidding, its a bad idea to do that haha hopefully all this stupid problem works out for you bro

how much extra is it to ship that to canada? i am slightly in need of an amp for my soon to have mids and highs (hopefully)

sorry there has been no progress im trying my hardest but with weather like what i have been having its not happening much. how ever i did primer my bumper today which is awsome. and ill get a picture soon of what that big crack looks like now. also not painting it yet, just gonna do the whole car later with a new color thats kicking around the shop, or any suggestions on what would look good and after i fix my car so i can drive it again im gonna have it in the autobody shop getting ill fixed up and might be able to build some pods for the front components i want to get

I like others, have just realized i didnt introduce my self yet so heyy im codi, i live in saskatchewan canada, and i found this forum throught vidoes on you tube which lead me to ROE and then here:D and i love it. also in the members build/show off i have my first build in progress and have learned much already in the almost 2 months i have been on here

HAHAHA this is so true for the getting in your vehicle from hearing one with a bigger harder hitting system you feel so weak compared to them which drives you to make it better and more powerful which once you do kicks ass:D ohh and cant forget, those are some amazing scores cant wait for some videos

whats up again guys, tonight i got a little creative on paint.net (well tried) and came up with an idea i kinda wanna do with my rear speakers (since i got speakers bigger then the factory ones) i wanna kinda have them potruding out of the factory piece and kinda of facing more towards the front of the car here is the picture i came up with. let me know if any of you have other good ideas that might work. also when doin that should i make a little fiberglass box for it too or just have it free air?
