Congrats you guys!! Thats awesome, i did my part and grabbed a couple and i love them!! Im getting some subs next

i have a hole drilled directly through the box and hooked up to the direct leads...since 2 of the wires parallel i have a gold plated distroblock hooked up for easy connect and disconnect. the outer 2 are for me strapping the amps. each go to a positive of the amp and theres one last wire that doesnt go through the box but its to hook the neg of 1 amp to the neg of the other Perfect thanks man! Im going to be doin the same thing, strapping 2 amp and also only running 2 subs so that helps alot.

Looks sick man! Hey chode, how do you have your speaker wire or the connection comming thru your box? I couldnt tell. Im building a box now and not sure how im going to do it, wether its run wire straight thru or us threaded rod or something.

Yeah i agree with you, im making my own box now and its way better than some pre fab garbage and better than i know the shitty car audio places around here would do for me, plus you save $$$. Give it a try

Yeah i thinkin just use the copper coils. They arent really that expensive at all and the subs have only 3 weeks playing time but ived had them for like 5 months so i wanna get some use out of them. Idk how much a dc recone is or if it will even work with the AQ but i think ive seen others do it if im not mistaken. If i sold them i wouldnt get what i need to buy two other subs so i think ky option is to recone.

Nah listen i had the subs with a AQ 2200 awhile ago dude and i was going to buy a DC 5k amd sent my money on the weekend and when they called on mon, sold out. Sucks but rusty gave me a deal i couldnt pass up on two 3.5ks so thats why. Even with the cost of reconing my subs, i still saved money on the amps bro!! Sooooo thus the reason im looking to recone. It has nothing to do with "oh fuck i bought the wrong subs".

Maybe i jist dont see it but what specs arent right on the 5k? Im just curious

Oh nice! Thats what i was looking for. So the coils there are just as good or the same as any other flat aluminum 8 layer coil?

thats the problem hes having, alum only come in D1s... and for the HDCs to take the power he has, he needs them, from what ive seen in the thread... Thank you. I thought i wasnt explaining it right or something. Im trying to figure out which configuration of coil will work with it because i know you cant just go buy any old recone and make it work correct? Well i guess if any of you DC guys on here know if i can use a XL or level 5 recone with my subs maybe you can send me a PM of a price for those in a duel 1.4 or 2 ohm configuration please

Your right but my problem is i need duel 2 coils. I would be running my amps at .5 ohms now, which is why i need to recone them to a differemt impedance....

Because they dont have D2 aluminum coils. It might be pushing the limits of the copper for daily 3.5k a piece

DC is cheaper Have you seen the prices? Because you could be wrong. I would assume the DC 2k and AQ2200d is close. Specs and output wise. But the DC3.5k isn't quiet as strong as the AQ3.5k. As I've heard the AQ is a 4200watt board and DC is the 3500watt board. Yeah i think ur right but i think by lookin at the dc 3.5 its a little underrated. Take in the consideration its a lil cheaper too. Either amp is a win in my book

DC is cheaper I havent seen the price list for them all but yeah my 3.5 was cheaper by far, im officially on DC's bandwAgon, everybody over there is awesome

So does anyone know what recone i can use with the hdc3? One that can take 3.5k?

Well from what we've been told is they are built at the same build house but i havent seen any clamped numbers on any of the amps so its hard to compare in that aspect. But im sure the 2k and 2200 are very close and the 3500 just by the specs is rated like 800 rms less but id like to say that number is rated very conservativly. Maybe somebody will clamp some soon

Yezzzir its screen printed i think too, from the factory if thats what ur asking, its not a sticker or anything. After seeing these i cant believe the 4 channel is the same size!! If i didnt have a 4 channel already, id be all over it
