unless someone has your exact truck it's gonna be hard to tell people have gotten good numbers with subs up too. i've actually heard people say they didn't like having the sub forward. but it's up to you.

subs up port to the side works well in some trucks. ports and subs up also works well. place 45's in the pressure corners bracing wherever you feel is necessary, AQ's like big boxes usually shoot for around 7-8 cubes net with the power you're running..

Mike, appreciate the input, but 4 15's have more cone area than a pair of 18s. also the combined motor force of the BL's would likely be greater than that of the BTL's. and if you want a true SQL car, you're not looking for gobs of power. yeah you can make 18's and 15's sound good if that's what you want, but SQL is a completely different path my friend.

Many many people here run DC audio subs. they are tough motherfuckers. either way is a good option. can't really go wrong.

Well i hate to get into a brand war here. DD's are great subs, but IMO the prices for them are crazy. some people say it's worth it, some don't. if you're tight on space, DC and sundown subs work well in small boxes. I'm gonna attempt to fit a nightshade 18 in my trunk this summer in about 5 cubic feet net

actually if you can get some threaded rod and fish it through the middle of the enclosure, that would work best. but try to place one on the bottom and one on the top.

little tip though. make sure that baffle is glued on tight. and use a couple of wooden dowels for bracing. like in the pic i showed you

i'm no expert, so do your own research to make sure i'm not misinforming you... buuuut what i'd do 9in this situation is similar to what the manufacturer does i'd take some half inch MDF or something similar make cardboard mockup of the floor and places that you want to be flat cut those parts out of the wood and line your trunk for all the other really curvy parts, lay down painters tape, then some fiberglass matting and resin. let dry and you have the exact forms of the trunk sand, paint, or cover in carpet.

how many square inches of port do you need? for example... if you had a driver with an sd of say 50 sq inches, you can make a port that's 5x10, 4x12.5 etc etc then measure down the middle of the of the port and then it's guess and check from there

well.. not really... you have to measure it down the middle of the port... go see how they did it in the T-line tutorial
