I fed my sa-12 1500 watts. Took it for about 30 seconds before it got warm. You should be fine on 1200. Just have a keen nose/ear. Turn it down at the slightest hint of stink.

hell my bro gets his 4 sa-15s to start smelling running a aq2200 tuned with the dd-1. But i would say keep the signal clean and you should be fine, and be smart with the volume knob.

  2. My mom always told me it was the poor man's tennis, she was proven wrong by this post.
  3. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^RE: Quote do either of them look doubled? and the top one is clearly braced... anyway, ram is pretty legit with his designs also the second one doesnt seem like it has enough port, for two 12's, im to tierd to sit here and do the math personally id go with ram, thats just me though
  4. fyi u can double baffle that face with no demention changes... what mounting depth? why would he have to have it in the design if it just might be one side double and good brace. u gonna spend the time to add it in the design? its a simple board. i was asking because he wanted my opinion so i gave it to him. u follow him around and get on peoples case alot?
  5. i noticed that flex then read the title. i thought it was more to be honest. 12v is cool with me if sh**s slammin like that. nice system man.
  6. I'd go with the center port, not only because i personally like the look (as if it matters). But i cannot see from the pic but it looks like if you did the right hand sided port, you have a chance for mad flex in the front board. you double baffling that B****?
  7. Subs up, port forward. in an ext. cab its something with the air flow (obviously). my buddy did this in his ford ranger and thats what he did after reasearch. He had LOTS of diffrence in responses, he was confused. Finally six months later, he finishes it all, and he's happy with it. All i know.
  8. Updating pictures tomorrow when the sun is out!

  9. I was thinking the 15's too for that reason, i want a wide band width to play with but really really hit the lows as the highlight. Any reccommendations? Thanks for the response.
  10. Ok, this helps. I know this is preferance. Thus, the question. This doesn't qualify as v.s. because im looking for a type of bass for my preferance, not what is louder. I figured these would be rough around the edges as far as SQ. Just seeing what others have heard, ive only heard 1 18 BL, but really this helps. Thanks.
  11. is the smd distortion detector worth it for the buy?

  13. ok, just to paint a picture, the system is in a 96' jimmy (3) 1800 kinetik and a 1400 under the hood. 200a dc power alt,all 0 awg, damp, cap, etc. 2 hifonics brz2400's. now with no debate on those factors, what drivers should i go with for sound quality and some other things i'll talk about? i know i want fi's. i know what i can afford and it looks like the chice is, all that power.... should i go with 4 15 bls (weight difference aside) or 2 18" btls? the sound im looking for is that reall really low that moves your chest and breathing.. box tuned to 29hertz ...ya'll know what im talking about.... now as far as cone surface and just pure power what do you reccommend? the btls have a larger magnet ... but 4 15s have more surface area. same power. Thanks for looking and commenting, if you do so... p.s. im not breaking any rules in looking for a specific type of bass based on ppls opinions and experiance i dont have...
