you're going to put 600 watt rated TENS getting twice their rated power in a 3 cubic foot box? Maybe if these were DD's or AQ's but certainly not alpines.
-
okay, you're gonna want to be spot on if this is a wall. shoot me a PM and we can talk
-
I'd do about 2.5 cubes maybe even bigger. tune higher, like 36+ plenty of port torres calculator can be downloaded on a mac, it just takes some extra steps that are all explained on the first page.
-
kinda depends on how much power you're giving it.
-
Not to be a dick, but you probably should've been asking this before you cut out the pieces.
-
So the box is already built?

Click the help button up top and find out. post a picture of what you come up with next

AND you need to factor in number of common port walls. click the help button up top. we'll start there.

yes exactly. I'm not worried about the dims, I know it's possible. I'm just worried that 6 cu ft of air is going to sound like total ass. I gave you a design that will sound amazing. especially compared to your current box. It is well within your current dimensions. In fact, i didn't max out a single one. IF you can manage to get that in the trunk, it will sound louder, and lower than any sealed box you build. Just build it. -
how often do you build boxes? You're gonna learn a lot more building than you ever will reading. I guarantee you that.

Lenny's 6 SMD 18's are built with only two baffles and single layer everywhere else. he's just got some serious bracing.

lol probably won't. He won't have much luck with a sealed box either. i've worked with a few trunk cars. the opening from the seat to the trunk probably isn't more than 16 high. mine is 13 high and i have a 17" high trunk -

Again, good luck fitting that in the trunk. But that will walk all over your prefab box. -

you know what, i'm feeling generous. build a ported box to these specs, should look close to this -

There's people on this forum (like me) who can help you with a ported box design. the problem with your prefab box was the tuning and port area. tuned to high for your preferences, and not nearly enough port area. I guarantee you a ported box with one of those will sound better and get lower than two in a sealed box. might even be louder. But if you want to build a sealed box so badly, then do it. 5 cubes net and good luck fitting that sucker inside your trunk. Does that answer your question? -
so when do you call it?

Take a week or two off. Clear your head, then come back at it unstressed with an open mind. -
