Hey no worries. All I was really saying is that the newer L7s look better and are more efficient with heat than the older ones.

I have two Kicker L7 15s and if I give them more than a 1000 watts each their voice coils heat up and begins to give off an odor. They still take a bit more but I wouldn't go much more than 200 watts rms above their rated level. Why not just buy the new L7 08 models? They are much more resistent to heat and look much better then the 07 models. Not to mention you can get like two brand new L7s off ebay for like $380 with shipping lol.

Update: We tested his voltage out with the DVM I bought and he was hitting 12.2 as his lowest. Would that cause the amplifier to cut out?

Because it's greatly damaging the environment and imo not worth it. Instead of spending billions on that, use that money towards technologies that will satisfy our energy needs.

We actually have the technology to create many types of cars that run off different alternative sourses of energy, it's just that they haven't put them in the market yet. I would say in about 15 years, cars that are going to be on the road are going to be predominantly cars that run off other fuels. I do agree with you on what you're saying about Hydrogen cars. We need to find a way to keep the liquid hydrogen cool while its just parked and also there aren't that many places in the U.S. where you can fill up on hydrogen.

The biggest thing that is eventually going to hurt oil companies most are not strikes or the strength of the dollar, its going to be the new cars that run off of alternative sources of energy such as hydrogen and solar power.

Yes it takes 1/0 gauge in both power and ground terminals so no need for reducers. Two FI BLs will take this fine. I am not sure about the review...what did it say? I think I did deal with sonicelectronix and they had horrible service. It took over 5 days for the payment to be processed and they never answer their phones.

Yeah I felt extremely dumb when it fell. it was like it happened in slow motion. But nothing is really damaged. Just a small piece of plastic and scrapes on the metal frame. Still hits just as hard like my other L7.

So I put my 15" L7 on the edge of my Jeep today as I was wiring them into my new box I just built. I checked first to see if the subwoofer was stable and it didn't budge so I left it there for only temporary. About 2 mins later I back up a bit to glance at my box and the L7 takes a turn for its worst and falls and hits the ground. It made such a loud noise and scarred the concrete with its metal frame. First thing that went through my mind was, "my sub is done for." I was too afrait to pick it up because I didn't want to see the damage but the only that broke was part of the plastic frame. It actually took the fall like a champ. It still beats too along with my other L7. Lesson learned, don't place your subs on an edge. lol
