  1. Never bought an agm battery before. I think I need to charge it before I drop it in, but I don't own one. Atleast not an AGM one. I will get one later on, but right now I can't afford it. Can I just go to autozone or somewhere else and get them to charge it for me? Or what do I have to do? Please help me figure this out guys, my current battery is pretty much dead (bad maintenance on my part) and does not hold a charge, so I have to basically jump start my truck every morning to get to school.
  2. This thread is making me consider reconing my 3515 to a 3518 w/ Carbon Cap & composite cone...
  3. thanks for the video mate, I was wondering how I was going to smash the terminals, didn't think of using a vice. Going to watch the video if I need help lol
  4. IDK why I didn't think to look at knukonceptz.com mate, thanks for reminding me lol! I just ordered some, so could a moderator please lock this thread?
  5. Hey all, was wondering if anyone could suggest some good, preferably cheap ring terminals with crimps on the end to fit 1/0gauge wiring. I plan to do the Big 3 when I get my D3400 and wiring in, but I have no terminals and no access to any type of soldering... Thanks!
  6. x2 lol We all have to start somewhere, some just start farther ahead than others lol! Great looking box mate, might steal an idea or two for my next box if you don't mind
  7. How would they enforce that? Would you need to keep both hands on the wheel at all times? Would they issue special phones that are able to identify when your driving to everyone in the United States? I don't see that working out.
  8. x2 Just because I've recommended the AQ subs, doesn't mean you can't look at other products such as DC Audio or Fi or Ascendant Audio. You may be able to find some better subs for a better price. But install is close to EVERYTHING.
  9. They are only available on their website, but you may be able to find some used in the For Sale section. You don't need to look around for someone to build you a box, you can do it yourself. It isn't extremely hard, I just built my first box and it sounds AMAZING!
  10. I would definitely recommend getting another amplifier if you were to get another DC Lv4, but it's not needed. You will just be underpowering the subs and not getting the full potential out of your system.
  11. It should be much louder than the 12w7s. I have a example for you... AQ and DD subs are made by the same people. The AQ HDC3 series is comparable to the DD 35xx series. My friend has a jl 10w7 on 800w, I have a DD3515 on 200w, and my system is much louder. Granted I have much more cone area, but he has 4x the power. You will not be disappointed with two AQ HDC312s. JL makes good equipment, but it's incredibly overpriced for the amount of sound your getting from it. But remember, install is the most important part to making a good system. If you put a $1000 sub in a prefab box, it will sound like shit and you would be better off with a $200 sub in a custom box.
  12. It will DEFINITELY hit harder man. I would NOT recommend buying a prefab box, you should build your own custom ported box for the subs. Someone on here will be able to design you a box if you ask
  13. You'll love it man, it will probably be more bass than you know what to do with, and it will be MUCH better than the Kenwood system you wanted to start with
  14. For $1500 I would go with: (2) AQ HDC312 <-- Sub (1) AQ 2200 <-- Amp (1) 0gauge amp install kit from Knukonceptz.com <-- Amp wiring (1) XS D3400 under the hood and XS D3100 in the back <-- Batteries Big 3 in 0gauge If I missed anything tell me...
  15. Yes mate, that's the right 3/4 MDF. If you include shipping, the total will probably come out to around $800. If this is too much for you I can work on trying to find you a better setup that fits your budget
  16. With red LEDs along the port and tracing the outline of the subwoofer! Black box is a must of course
  17. So, even though this thread has gone off topic and I support that, I do honestly believe an inverted 21" subwoofer would be incredibly original and have a great "WTFIHAS21INCHES!!!" factor. Make the magnet in the center of the box so it can stick out over the console and people would seriously be like WOW!
  18. I wonder if I attached a subwoofer (powered by a amp linked to a battery in a small box) to a skateboard, would it be considered green technology?
  19. It's the best choice you can find for the money. I have found a better deal than 1200wrms of clean power for only $250. It's also underrated, and you can wire it down to 1ohm to see a damn good amount of power out of it, just make sure you don't clip and pay attention to the clipping knob.
  20. Hmm... I have no experience with bandpasses, so GO FOR IT! And you have to give me a demo mate, Louisiana Bassheads FTW!!
  21. What amps do you plan on running, what subwoofers, and what batteries? I'm just a noob interested in 15k power Also (sorry about this) ....lovelady... Lol... !!
  22. i dont think its been done. but that will just look intimidating in the mirror lol. i wonder if it would blow the plexiglass out of the box if i put a window in it? It very well may lol, I was just throwing out a random idea. I wouldn't dream of inverting a 21" without putting a window in it to actually see the size of the woofer, but I love the way a big ass sub looks inverted lol.
