  7. Only way to remedy this is to build a blowthrough with 4 15's and 8 kw. But seriously you're probably going to have to get an external regulator so you can dial down your voltage into a safe area.

  9. Disconnect one of the alternators? Is your voltage externally regulated or do you just have the alts tied into the original wiring?
  10. It just means that the alts are sensing a load and thus increase output for the momentary draw. Nothing to complain about, in fact I think I can speak for all of us when I say we would love to have your situation.
  11. ^^^^ Let's make sure to get our uTorrent software in the pic for everyone to see. LoLz Downloaded this but haven't listened yet. Depending how I like it, there may be a BigPimpin' C&S Version coming soon...
  12. Might I say that the whole set of pictures is beautiful. Not just the sub but the fact that you added your vehicle into them with a lovely backdrop of snow covered tree's. And the snow flakes on the sub look great too. Do you shoot professionally?
  13. Clipping your amp doesn't have to do with the volume of your test tone. Setting the gain with a lower DB test tone will result in a HIGHER gain setting and when you come across music that is louder than -3db you'll just be clipping it again. Try setting your amp to a few volts below what Torres' chart says for RMS ratings. Well, I NEED a higher gain setting, because my music sounds MUCH quieter compared to the 0db tone. I'm almost gonna say that either my ipod was clipping, if that's possible? because i put my ipod at 100% volume so i know its always at the same volume level, because my HU doesn't integrate ipods, its just an aux in, and the HU output is proportional to the Aux input volume... Or My head unit was clipping the 0Db tone even though it was at 3/4ish volume. Anyway the tone sounds much louder than my music, and i need one that sounds closer to the level of my music, or i need an ACCURATE way to compensate for the volume difference...the guys in the other thread said i should've used a -2 or -3 db tone.. Oh and if it matters, my subs can take the full 1700 watts RMS, so i think with the amp was maxed out the 0db tone did clip... So is there an accurate way to compensate or a better way to set the gains? OK, so you're telling me you blew your amp by having it set too low? And I use an AUX input on my Radio too, I set my volume on my Zune to 16 of 20 for max volume without clipping personally. Tone's are going to sound much louder, they are the absolute loudest input signal possible assumin they are a 0db tone, so don't expect music to be as loud. I know it sucks but that's how it goes. The -2 or -3db tone is used to set gains to compensate for music. Since you have a tone that is two-three decibels less than what is absolute max, you can compensate by turning the gain just a bit higher. This results in a louder setting for music but can also lead to clipping sooner if you come across a song that approaches the -2db threshold. (Such as BigPimpin's Music, DJ Billy E, or Bass Mekanik.) Let's start from the begging. Give me a rundown of your amp and subs. Just Brand and Model Number would be good.
  14. Couldn't tell you. But the AQ's have been gone for awhile now. But they were excellent subs when I had them. Took tons of power like a boss. Just didn't hold together for what I wanted them to do.

  16. It's hit or miss whether you get bant. Just don't go around being a tard saying hateful/racist/illegal things and such and you'll skate through ban-free.
  17. Thanks for music, that remix is sickk!! I think i prefer it too now..hahah LoL It's got bass too. Skip to 1:40.
  18. This about the closest I can give ya. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJW3VPehFZc
  19. [quote name= Gem132' date='31 January 2011 - 04:30 AM' timestamp='1296466251' post='1379037] with using the EQUO how do i keep the vocals up with the bass so they sort of blend in together. i dont want the bass overthrowing the vocals and to bigpimpin in luniz i got 5 on it how did you get the bass lines longer than the normal song ? Thanks ? A little bit of work involving the 3x OCS, a little bit of EQ work, a program called MixMeister and a free weekend. Also, don't slide the sliders way too high. Just move them a little.
