  1. If your on a budget I'd go for larger subs with decent sized motors to take advantage of the cone area and move as much air as possible. If your not on a a budget... Eh I'd probably still go with big subs as long as you have the room haha. A shit ton of twelves is cool for comps but for daily it's kinda pointless and gets confusing
  2. 15's for daily groundpounder for sure! But don't get set on a certain score man. Like said earlier 150 daily ain't easy. You don't just buy four subs and pull 150's man. But gl
  3. ^^^ sorry guys, ignore this ^^^^ and 1700 watts will be just fine on a daily set up. 2v is lower input you'll gave to turn the gain up a little more than someone with let's say a 5v but we can't tell you exactly where it will depend on a lot of things. And you can set gains with a dmm or go to a shop and see if try have an o-scope. They may charge a few bucks
  4. Hi everyone this is robyn kamerons gf and he's gonna take a break from this forum bc he's on it so much it's like another lover!
  5. Your amp is underrated, the obsidian could take that amp at 1ohm lol
  6. What kind of power are you going to be giving it?
  7. Yeah that would be possible and it would work, but makes no sense whatsoever and your much better off just getting two of the same subs, by the time you do all that you could have done it right already and it's much easier
  8. Kenwood is supposed to do 900@1ohm and 2ohm but it doesnt do rated at either and the one I had wasn't very sable @ 1. But it'll power those subs just fine I'm sure
  9. Ok I don't really deal with dc subs so I just believed them when they said they were 600rms. In that case mr. Skippy is right. The kenwood will be just fine, don't waste your money. Just save up for when you want to upgrade, and I promise you will want to haha
  10. It's a decent amp but definately underrated. Why not give yours subs at least rms? Your at about half rms right now that's all I'm saying
  11. No the kenwoods are definately underrated, the 9104 I had only had like 60amps of fusing. The 9105 looks identical bit just with more fusing I think. Either way they are underrated at 2ohms but they do rated at 4 which is only like 500watts. Id get a better amp, while 100 watts isnt audible maybe, 600-800 sure is!! And you can make profit on that 9105 dude they sell on eBay all day for 100-150 bucks, that's what I did with mine.
  12. Your going to want ported for sure! And the 3.15^3ft is te potted dimensions you will want. And the is the "net" airspace, so that means after sub displacement and port displacement you are going to want 3.15 cubes. I'd tune it around 32-34hz if you can
  13. Well if you know who did it your better off than most of us. You can at least retaliate! You can kill his dog, fuck his girl, start his house on fire... Idk there are tons of options lol
  14. This!! Or obsidian 100% And whoever told you guys that cvr take double their rated power is full of shit! I put 600 clamped watts to my 15" cvr in recommended enclosure specs and bottomed it out
  15. I can say tho that I have had cvr's, I have sa's and I have obsidians. I will recommend the sa's and obsidians over any other sub in their price range, I usually recommend the obsidians just cause they are a little cheaper and still amazing quality go the price. Put depending on the power your giving the subs will help you make the best choice
  16. This!! Or obsidian 100% And whoever told you guys that cvr take double their rated power is full of shit!
  17. x2^^^^^ Not trying to hate on you already little kid wit bass, but your like 14... First you tell him he can do it and then you tell him not to. Op you can do it if you want, we arnt saying it isn't possible, we are saying it's fucking stupid and that if you do it you are a total noob and your shit will probably blow up... That's all
  18. Do not get a lanzar amp either... What the hell? Lol this thread is getting bad!!!!!!!! Check your ground also, it should be grounded to something that goes directly to the cars frame, make sure the area is ground down to bare metal and that it not some crappy sheet metal or something. And you need to know what impedance your subs are wired at, that's pretty damn important, that could be a big problem
  19. First off, subs don't produce any watts at all. Second, if your car is dimming that bad just from a Sony 1000 watt amp which really clamps more like 300 watts if even that, then you probably have another weak link somewhere in your cars charging system. 4000 watts is definitely going to have to have a big high output alternator and a big batt up front with a couple little batts in the back. Just with that your at your $1000 dollar mark. If I were you man I'd try to figure out why your voltage is so low, and then I'd just buy a better amp that does a true 1200-2000 watts and go from there.
  20. I'm a diesel power guy, I'd take a tdi anything from VW. Ive seen those cars throw down
  21. Hell no it's doesn't mean your gay! I'd really love a tdi bug like that
  22. port up subs up 12s in a single cab dodge just took home 3rd place in Kaos 1 in midwestspl finals, so id say it does pretty good Hell yeah man! I found a friend with a newer dodge, im trying to talk him into ditching his kicker and boss shit to get a real system on there now!
  23. I would definately take 2 OA-12's for that budget or close to it at least. More cone area, best bang for your buck for sure
  24. Yeah he has, I think that's why comparing the 3 is such a common thing
